Ethan can't believe what he just heard from Hyejin. Giving punishment to her with some works that she's not supposed to do in the first place. Who doesn't annoyed with him?

“He asked you to do that meanwhile it's not your job to do? Don't get me wrong but can't he let you do something that related to your profession?” he asked again and Hyejin just shrugged it off.

“I don't know. Thanks to you I can go out for a lunch today because seems like he doesn't allowed me to go out.” Hyejin stirred her orange juice before take a sip.

“I just want to meet you, Hyejin. I never satisfied with out short conversation and to be honest I want to know you better. More than what Jake knows about you.” he said and Hyejin almost choked on the orange juice.

Even though she knows, Ethan doesn't have any clue about their past relationship but still she was shocked. Ethan probably knows how close Jaeyun and Hyejin but he doesn't know any details.

And seems like Jaeyun really good at keeping secret. She can trust Jaeyun on that one but not his feeling on Hyejin.

By looking how he reacts to Jongseong was obvious, he doesn't like someone he knows become his foe and Ethan going to be in the list any soon. Hyejin just knew it.

“Know me better? Well, I have nothing interesting to tell you about myself.” she shyly smile when Ethan rest his chin on his palm, focus on Hyejin.

She nodded.

“Then, tell me how you two became friends? Because Jake sometimes could be headstrong and hard to control. He even act like he doesn't have seen that person anywhere. Did you approached him first?” he asked and Hyejin nodded.

“At first, he didn't want to talk with me but slowly we became closer. I started to open up with him and do a lot of stuffs together. He even helped me with Physic. Most people thought two of us were—”

Hyejin shut her mouth real quick. Too stunned to speak because they were couple. Looking into Ethan's eyes, she could see how many things he wanted to know but he just kept it. Those gaze from Ethan is obvious.

Why he's so curious with Hyejin's life? Even since their first met, Ethan gave a strange feeling towards her. Have they ever met before? Hyejin is not sure.

Suddenly, Ethan poked her left cheek and said, “you're spacing out, Hyejin.”

“Oh, I'm so sorry Ethan. I'm just thinking about something just now. Where were we?” she asked but Ethan shook his head, not continue the topic.

Hyejin was busted. By looking at Ethan's reaction, he could noticed something had happened between Hyejin and Jaeyun before but he just keep his mouth shut.

He tried to distract her with another topic. Talking about his current hobby which is golfing and hoping he could brings Hyejin along.

“Are you free tomorrow?” Ethan asked as he pulled up in front the building.

“I think I am, why?” she answered and that's makes Ethan's lips curling up.

“Let's hangout together. Tomorrow, a dinner with me, I will fetch you at your house and wear something fancy. How's that sound?” he added and Hyejin thinking for a few minutes.

“Sure.”

After that, Hyejin stepped out from his car and went inside the building. She needs to hurry because she just left her works undone. Ethan just asked for Jaeyun's permission and didn't even listen to his answer.

And yes, she's in a big trouble.

Tried to calming herself while waiting for the elevator door to open she could could feels a present next to her by a silhouette. Hyejin decided to turned to the silhouette and an instant regret hits her.

It's Jaeyun who calmly take a bite of a strawberry sandwich. He took a glance at Hyejin and back to the elevator door. Apparently the door opened and he was the first one who walked inside.

Hyejin was hesitated to walk inside or not because she could feels a strange emotion from Jaeyun.

“I won't waiting for you just like this morning, Ms Park. You better quick now.” he said and Hyejin quickly stepped inside, pressed the button of their office level.

Her hands holding tight on her bag, pressed her lips together and her forehead started sweating. She didn't dare looking at Jaeyun because she could feels the stare from her boss.

“How's lunch with Ethan?”

“Extremely fantastic!”

“Of course, he's a casanova after all. You're not the first girl he asked for a lunch date, Hyejin.” he added.

Someone is jealous!

“Thank you for the information, Mr Jake.” she replied sarcastically while crossed her arms on her chest.

“Yeah, my pleasure. Don't forget to eat the packed meal I left on your table. Just in case you're hungry again.”

Jaeyun walked out the elevator leaving Hyejin again.
