I sighed heavily What was happening To me?

"When you look at me I start to blush and all that I can say is you and us oh baby I'm so afraid to be in love with you, with you..." I Sang quietly to myself while strumming on the guitar.

I sighed again. I was starting to fall for my best friend...

"I wanna be in love with only you, I wanna watch the sky turn grey then blue, I wanna know the kiss that's always new, I wanna be in love with only you...just you..." I sang again.

My Best friend knew everything about me but I was taken. I was taken by another man and I loved him too. How could I choose?

My name is Celest. I have long Red hair and green eyes. I'm not too tall but I'm average. I'm definitely shorter then my best friend though. My best friends name was Daren his eyes were a bright blue and had shaggy black hair. Well had anyway he has short spiky hair now.

"When stars are falling dark will light the way will hit the ground and fall into the shade ill light the night with fire and run away..." I sang quietly.

Daren was my best friend since we were kids and we were always really close. Until the day he kissed me...

Daren was playing around with me and tickling me until our faces had gotten really close and a silence had fallen between us. He had kissed me at first I resisted with my eyes wide open with shock. I was confused. I thought he had moved on from liking me? But of course like usual I was wrong. I closed my eyes slowly and deepened the kiss, kissing him back. At this moment nothing mattered. I wanted to be greedy and take something that I'd been longing to feel. His caress his lips on mine in an eager motion together in perfect rhythm. My heart was starting to pound into my ears as I had straddled his lap and pushed myself closer to him. But then I remembered Cory. He was my boyfriend and complete opposite of Daren. He was more rough with his kisses and greedy with need when he touched me but Daren was soft and caring always giving into every tough that I needed. But I wasn't with Daren I had to stop this now before it got any further. I pushed him over and ran all the way home. He kept texting me after that but I just couldn't face him yet... Not yet.

"I didn't know you could play the guitar." Cory's voice rang coming up the wooden steps of my balcony.

I scrambled quickly to wipe the tear from my cheek before he noticed.

"Yea I've been playing since I was 7..." I mumbled.

Cory is tall and muscular. Both Daren and Cory are muscular because of their jobs they require a lot of heavy lifting. Cory has brown hair and dark green eyes. He has a temper sometimes but I got used to it after the first couple weeks of dating him.

"So what did you do today sweet heart?" Cory questioned placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I stayed home all day.." I lied with a small smile.

"Alright well I got to get to work soon but can I use your shower before I head out?" He questioned.

I nodded my head in agreement following him in. My house wasn't special or anything i was pretty small it had 2 bedrooms and a decent side living room. I had 2 floors main floor and the second floor that had the bedrooms and the washroom. Of course I had a basement too and I lived with my friend Maralynn. She is a short girl with brown hair and grey eyes and hardly ever leaves the house but I didn't mind gave me more company. Cory had left in a hurry to head to work after his shower only giving me a light kiss on the lips before running out. He worked a lot so I didn't get to see him much.

"So are you going to tell me what happened at Derek's today?" Maralynn grumbled sitting in front of the TV eating a bowl of popcorn.

"What gives you the idea that something happened?" I snapped.

"First off your anger... Second off the fact that you ran home even though he only lives down the street. And third off the fact that you started singing on our front porch. You don't sing unless there's something up. So what happened?" Maralynn groaned with irritation.

I sighed heavily I didn't really want to tell her but I knew if I didn't she would continuously bug me to tell her so I did.

"I wondered when he was going to do that." Maralynn giggled.

"Excuse me?" I snapped.

"He's been smitten for you ever since we were all kids and playing tag in the back yard. You were completely oblivious Celest. Completely and utterly OBLIVIOUS!" She laughed.

I covered my face with my hands with a groan. Did everyone know?

I slumped back to the front porch grabbing my guitar again until Maralynn threw something at me.

"What was that for?" I snapped rubbing my head.

"Your bozo left his phone here and its vibrating." Maralynn grumbled as I picked up the phone.

Out of curiosity I opened it and looked at who was bugging him and it was some girl named Diana asking if he was coming yet. I was confused so I replied back that he was heading to work. Then she replied back saying who is this? he said he was coming here to meet me and be with me. I sat shocked with irritation then replied no he's heading to work and I'm his girlfriend. the reply didn't take long it read lol if he's your bf then why is he here? With a picture of him on someone's driveway. My heart sank to the bottom of my chest. I couldn't breathe. I ran into the house to grab my cell when I got a text from Daren saying I'm sorry I cant take this being your friend is too hard for me... Tears ran through my eyes. What was happening? I had to have been dreaming. I cried myself to sleep on the couch with Maralynn petting my hair with a sigh. When I woke up I felt horrible. I felt like a bus hit me. My eyes were sore from crying so much and my whole body ached. I sighed heavily noticing it was still only 10pm. I needed to go out side I needed to think.

"in my head i have dreams I have visions of many thing Questions longings in my mind Pictures fill my head I feel so trapped instead but Trapped doesn't seem so bad 'cause you are here It doesn't mean anything Without you here with me And i can try to justify But i still need you here with me." I sang with a sigh as I walked along.

I didn't know where I was going but I needed to go somewhere. So I kept walking thinking to myself. I lost my best friend and My boyfriend had been cheating on me.

"In my heart i had hope Built on dreams I'll never know Answers to love left behind Visions filled my head I felt so trapped instead but Trapped doesn't seem so bad 'cause you were near I can't do anything without you You give me strength to do anything I can't be everything i try to You saved me from the everything I couldn't be..."

Memories flashed through my mind of Daren's face smiling at me. His hugs whenever Cory had yelled at me. His nights where he stayed up all day just to comfort because Cory had hit me or yelled at me. I started to run my feet taking it's own path.

"It doesn't mean anything Without you here with me 'cause after all is said and done I still need you here with me!" I sang as I ran tears streaming down my face. I stopped mid step noticing where my feet had taken me. My feet had run all the way to Daren's house. My breathing was heavy as I took one shaky step forward up his steps and knocked lightly on the door.

Maybe he'll slam the door in my face? Maybe he'll tell me to get lost?

"Celest What are you doing here?" Daren's voice mumbled.

I looked up into his face my eyes filled with tears. Noticing his face looked pretty much the same. He had been crying too.

"I need you here with me!" I shouted the last words of the song jumping into his arms.

He held me tightly against his chest as we both cried silent tears. I finally looked up into his eyes again and raised my face to plant a light kiss onto his lips. But the Light kiss turned out to be a passionate kiss full of love and fear. Fear of losing something that was close to us. A kiss that showed exactly how much we really loved each other.
