"I am Cabrakan, the god of earthquakes!" The forest trembled violently as the small boy they had just met underwent a startling transformation, morphing into a towering deity twice their size. Cabrakan now bore a single arm on his right side and two on his left, adorned with numerous trinkets and a stone headgear resembling his own face, hovering above his head.

Beside him, the little girl also began to undergo a transformation, her cries echoing through the forest. "And I am Cipactli, the Goddess of Alligators!" From the green smoke emerged a woman, causing Ximena to tighten her grip on her blade.

"Okay, now that's definitely my pee," Rico's mumbling prompted Ximena to slowly turn towards him, her expression contorted in disgust, while Maya groaned and shook her head. "Get it together guys, the odds are in our favor!" Maya continued, her words persisting until Chiapa, overcome with fear, fled once again.

Ximena watched the battle cat vanish into the forest before nonchalantly shrugging her arms. "Then again, we've managed to win a fight without him before," she remarked, prompting laughter from the god and goddess. Glancing past Maya at Rico, who clung to Estefan as if the staff were his teddy bear, she quipped, "Hey, Rooster Wizard. Perhaps you can conjure up some magic?" Maya nodded in agreement.

Rico, swallowing nervously, stepped forward with his wand outstretched. As he attempted to cast a spell, it backfired, the yellow spark of magic fizzling out before reaching halfway. The wizard recoiled slightly at their laughter, and Ximena sensed that something from his past haunted him. "You can do this, Rooster Wizard!" Maya cheered, offering encouragement.

Rico glanced at the two, seeing their faces filled with encouragement and trust in him. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes before shouting out his spell. Colors of purple and pink emitted from his staff as a magic shark in purple shot out from Estefan, colliding with Cabrakan, causing his head to fly back. "I hate wizards!" his beheaded body frantically followed after his head.

"That was amazing!" Maya howled, smiling before noticing Rico and Ximena were no longer by her side. She quickly spun around, finding the two far back. "Ximena? Rico?" Ximena groaned, sitting upright as Rico lay on top of her. She rubbed her head, feeling her bruise worsen on her side. "I'm pretty sure I broke another rib or something," she groaned. "I think I broke my everything," Rico mumbled, rolling off of Ximena.

"Wait, wait, wait. You both stay there, I can handle the other one."

Cipactli dashed toward her in a blur, leaping over Maya and seizing hold of her sword. The goddess somersaulted gracefully, while Maya was propelled backwards but managed to land on the dirt ground with poise. Rico and Ximena cheered from behind, with the latter helping Rico to his feet.
