"And that one, over there, see? That one's called Orion."

Millions of stars decorated the night sky that stretched above the heads of [Name] and the god sitting by her side, both resting their backs against the plastering of the compound's walls. The balcony they had been spending their evening on was neither large nor the comfiest to sit on, yet minutes of talking had turned into hours, had eventually led her into guiding him through the constellations of the midgardian night sky.

"Where?" Loki frowned as he attempted to figure where her index finger was pointing at.

"Right there", she said, shifting closer, carefully placing her chin on his shoulder. Her index finger was pointing at three brighter stars aligned in a row. "And then..."
She let her finger wander from one star to another after Loki had visibly spotted the belt of Orion, yet his attention was drawn to something, someone else.

His eyes darted across her facial features, them only being illuminated by the dim moonlight. They took in all of her beauty. It felt like he was falling into the universe itself.

His mind was in a haze like it had never ever been before, it was in such a haze he seemed unable to notice how she was now directing her attention at him as well.

"Loki?"

A smile made its way onto his lips as she called his name, followed by a pensive hum. "Oh, if only I had the words to express all of it", he murmured.

She tilted her head as she leant back in order to get a proper view of the god sitting in front of her, a hint of curiosity as well as nervousness gleaming in her eyes.
"Well...", she started, now visibly tensing up, though she wasn't uncomfortable. "What is it?"

"I love you."

Three words. They had left his lips so rapidly, they'd silenced his inner debate whether he should say or not say them.

It were only three words, and yet they meant so, so much. They were enough to express what he felt, enough to explain his behaviour, everything. They caused a chuckle to slip her lips as she tried to realise, which was hard since everything felt so surreal all of a sudden.

Her eyes were prickling as they seemed to be stuck to his ones, yet she averted her glance to rub her eyes, then a sniffle followed, causing a sudden change from pure adoration to concern in Loki's expression.

He blinked in confusion, carefully leaning closer.

"[Name]?

"I'm sorry, so sorry, I shouldn't be crying."

She cut herself off when she felt the god gently reaching out for her hand, then grasping it tightly as if he attempted to squeeze whatever was troubling her out of her body.

"Take your time, [Name]. I didn't intend to rush things."

She attempted to settle on a smile, yet the tears remaining on her cheeks made it seem rather dispirited.

"I don't know, I'm actually overjoyed you said... those three words. Yet they caught me off guard, somehow..."

The soft crying noises she'd attempted to suppress in her throat mixed with her more or less steady voice again, it broke off, causing her to fall silent for a while before continuing.

"I've simply... never been told them. In that specific way."

Loki felt his heart ache at her words. In his eyes, she was the most breathtaking, dazzling, impeccable person he'd ever met. The thought of her never being properly told those three words in a romantic way confused, almost frustrated him in a way.

"Please", he begged, caressing her cheek. "Please, let me show you."

He leaned even closer, her scent now filling his nostrils, enveloping him. Their lips were so close, he was able to feel her breath on his.

Warm, sweet.

"I... love you", she breathed before their lips met.
