Shibuya's centre wasn't far, and the biggest screen in the city was there. So we thought it would be best to go there for the start of the next stage
Maybe there will be more informations given there. Maybe other people will have the same idea as us and will come
At least that's what Arisu thought. It was nine in the morning but he wanted to go there a few hours prior to the beginning. So now were waiting at the empty crosswalk of the city. No one is in sight yet
If the next stage was about to begin and I had to move quickly I'd rather still feel my legs. So I sat down in the meantime, the sun hitting my skin. Guess I'll tan while waiting
Minutes were passing by and still no one, not even a single bird. Two hours went by, so only one more hour and the next stage will start. I thought by now people would have started to come but I was wrong-
Footsteps echoed behind me. I turn my head and open my eyes. But the bright sun blinds me and I have to adapt for a few seconds before looking more precisely at the two silhouettes approaching
I have to blink numerous amount of times to be sure I wasn't hallucinating. He was there, walking toward me, Kuina by his side
I quickly jump back up on my feet and look at him directly in the eye. He was there, but if he was there and completely fine, why would he leave me? I know I was mad 'cause he killed Niragi, but after all, he wasn't really dead. And I took a bullet for him! Couldn't he be more grateful? No, he just left me. I don't even know what happened after I lost consciousness. But I know he's the one that took out this bullet. And he's probably the one who also took me out of the burning Beach. He could have waited until I woke up! He could have made sure I was fine! He could have stayed! So why has he left me!!!!?
Chishiya never broke eye contact as Kuina rushes to me and puts her hands on both of my shoulders
'Oh my god Ameya! Are you okay? You made it!' She spits out rapidly eyes wide
'I am all okay Kuina don't worry. My injury is already healing, thanks to the amazing job that has been done from I don't know who.' I say side glancing at Chishiya who wasn't looking anymore, but I could tell he was listening carefully
'Thank god. What would we do without you?' She smiles and hugs me gently. I don't return the gesture but let her enjoy the moment. 'Are you gonna be fine for the next stage tho?' She asks worriedly
'Hum, yeah, of course. They aren't getting rid of me so soon' I fake smile to reassure her
After that, we all went quiet. Patiently waiting until noon. There was such tension from what the unknown next stage reserved for us. Yet that's the tension between me and Chishiya that was growing on me. When noon finally arrived, we all looked around for any signs, any clues as to what was going to happen, but nothing. Minutes passed and yet, no sign that the next stage had begun. We were all confused. And I had enough waiting and too many questions, so I went to Chishiya's side
'Can we talk?' I ask him crossing my arms
'There is nothing to talk' He answers nonchalantly
He has no right to be the angry one after what he's done. 'Oh yes, there is.' I say pissed. 'Why-'
