What is the point of having things?
Diamond rings, or even a glass angel with golden wings
What's the point of having anything
if she'll just lose everything
She nearly had it all
then her life started to fall
and so did theirs
Ena sat on her lonesome bed, near her many paints
Missing her friendship with Mizuki
She wasn't depressed, but her heart felt faint
Like it was tainted with pain
It took Ena everything to stay sane,
and not numb herself from shame
At least Mizuki was fine, Ena told herself
because they were hiding away all the time
Ena meant her words: She was going to wait for Mizuki's secret
She wanted the trust to be just; she knew they needed space
and Ena wanted to supply that comforting place
for them
Mizuki and Ena were not far away,
but something led their lives astray
The sadness on that horrible day
was simply too much
But Ena knew she would never be alone,
she still had Mizuki and her drawings -- and it was shown
Despite the sorrow, Ena refused to give in
If she did, her feelings would win
but she was stronger than that
She hoped Mizuki was fine
After all, they made her art shine
even if she thought otherwise
Mizuki was sometimes something else,
but they were very mature
Ena herself -- she honestly wasn't sure
But they both carried themselves strongly
Ena remembered those memories fondly
of Nightcord and everybody else
Mafuyu was finally saved,
and rebuilding her new life
Kanade always kept in touch,
as her dad was discharged from the hospital
It seemed as though everything felt good for once,
everything was going all right
But anything can change in a heartbeat
Ena took out an artist book, munching on cheesecake,
refusing to acknowledge what was at stake
As much as her feelings weren't fake,
she merely pushed them aside
She though about Mizuki and what they were doing now,
probably designing about five cute dresses, though she wondered how
She felt like she was always mediocre at art,
but any drawing or painting was a start
On a brand new artist journey
The sun was nearly setting as Ena wrapped up her reading,
something inside her heart eating at her -- nearly pleading
> Even though you two are friends, Mizuki doesn't trust you with their secret. <
Her mind nearly snapped and her heart dropped,
she wished the negative feelings would stop
Ena knew Mizuki was not to blame
This was their lives -- it was not a game
Things just didn't work out living with each other
Mizuki's secret was another matter,
and Ena knew it was not their fault
While the sparkling moon danced on the sea,
Ena finished her cheesecake, sighing deeply
She needed to sleep -- but not yet
Nothing would make her happy until she checked on Mizuki
Luckily, an unread message appeared on her phone
and Ena quickly opened it
She had cheesecake for company and her art for company, but she felt so alone
Her former life a gem, now a mere stone
Still, tomorrow could provide hope, so Ena wasn't worried
She lay down on her bed, dreaming of art and its many colorful streaks,
soon enough with tears streaming down her flushed cheeks.
