Starmall was closed for the day. The main room was extremely quiet. Faint echoes rung from the top floors. That must've been where the animatronics were. Bryan ignored their nonsense and descended into the basement. As he slowly stepped down the stairs, he could feel an unwelcoming presence behind him.
"Don't you wanna hang out with your friends?"
"I don't have time for that." He quickly responded to his younger self. " I have someone to meet."
There was a large silence between them, the only noise being Bryan's steps on the stairs. As he opened the large iron doors, he caught the hallucination at the corner of his eye. Young Bryan wore the old Pokémon outfit he remembered wearing years ago. The same red hat, blue jacket, and brown pants. His eyes looked weak and vulnerable.
"Are you finally meeting Molten again? Are you actually gonna make amends?" He spoke hopefully.
Bryan took a deep breath hearing those words. He stepped close to the doorway of the storage unit, only being able to stare at the floor.
"Bryan-"
"I'm gonna ask him where he's been, then order him to help me. It's the least he could do for leaving." Bryan stated firmly. He wasn't gonna fall m, he wasn't gonna be weak, not anymore.
The younger Bryan backed off quickly, seemingly scared. He looked like he could cry. Bryan peered to the hallucination with a piercing glare.
"Shut up and don't get in my way. Got that?"
With a downcast look, the hallucination slowly nodded. With that over with, Bryan pushed the doors open, ready to face Molten Freddy.

As he scanned the room, he immediately noticed the large mangled creature resting on the small light blue bed. His rage quickly took over staring at Molten's calm demeanor. As Bryan's face scrunched up, his body moved on its own and stomped towards the bear.
"Hey! Where have you been Molten?! It's been months and just now you finally show up?!" He shouted at him.
Molten had his back on the pillar behind the bed. His eyes were closed but Bryan could tell from his annoyed expression that he was fully aware of the business owner's presence.
"Bryan. Oh how I missed your whinny voice." He spoke sarcastically, dreading the mood Bryan brought to the conversation. "You finally decide after days to check on me?"
Molten wasn't just upset about Bryan's attitude. He was upset that after days, Bryan finally decided to show up now. It took him days to check up on him, after the hell he had to go through. He thought Bryan would race to his aid, he thought Bryan would be worried sick. But he hadn't even showed up once within the last few days. Like Bryan had completely forgotten him.
Bryan groaned and crossed his arms. "Are you not gonna respond?! Answer my question."
Molten opened his eyes and gave Bryan a cold glare. It was the first time he'd seen him in months but something felt off. He looked serious, and overworked. Like he had been staying up late at night for multiple days. His hair was a mess, his eyes seemed tired and lifeless. His skin was pale, like he hadn't been outside in weeks.
Maybe what Steve said about Bryan was true.
"Are you blind or did you forget I had legs once? Didn't Steve tell you anything?!" Molten retaliated.
"He said Afton tortured you and tore off your legs. But the Molten I know isn't weak and easily defeated. Very disappointed." Bryan spoke up, getting closer to the animatronic.
