Lisha Chēn is part of a line of family legends she is the great grandchild of the 'celestial warrior of hope' and for generations a special amethyst necklace has been past on to her past ancestors and now it has past on to her, She lives in megapolis with her parents when she was a kid (about 4-5 something) her parents and mei's parents were good friends and business buddies each parents agree that their children could meet and possibly become good friends, and they did
Even as a child Lisha admired Chinese legends/myths, her most favorite one was the 'journey to the west' books and others Lisha favorite was the monkey king and ao lie when she turned '5 years old' her father gifted her all kinds of Chinese history/myths with a monkey plushie and her mother gifted her the amethyst necklace passing their heirloom to her the next generation of the Chēn family
A month before Lisha's parents went on a business trip and they left Lisha with Mei's parents so they can look after her when they get back, but an unfortunate accident happened that Lisha parents died on a plane crash Lisha was left to mei's family to be her temporary guardians until she moves out when she is older. 10 years later Lisha move out of mei's house and started to live in a apartment where she applied for a job at "Pigsy's noodles" she meet her co-worker Mk and found out that he was also interested in Chinese legends and became good friends with eachother, after a year Mk started having a crush on his friend but was to shy/embarrassed to admit it
