.Sometimes, among a billion people, it is enough to find yourself.
But for Taehyung, to find himself was equal to finding him. And when it came to Jungkook, the elder instantly knew where to look for him.
The whole time the ride in the suffocating taxi lasted, Tae was nervous, tapping his foot on the floor as he twirled his wedding ring around his finger.
The ten-year-old boy shouted as he ran into the house, threw his backpack on the floor next to the door and ran into the living room.
- What happened, Tae? - Daehun asked him.
- Dad, dad, today I saw the most beautiful boy in the whole world! - the boy with an excited face spoke, not noticing the shocked look of his parents.
- A boy? Which boy? - asked the woman.
- Yook Sung Jae! He transferred to our class. Mom, he's so beautiful. He has long hair and his eyes shine...
- Enough! - a thunderous man's exclamation was heard.
- My son is not a fag! You like girls, and I won't hear you talk about other boys! Is that clear? - said the man.
- Daehun, dear, maybe it's just a passing phase. - the woman stuttered so that the boy wouldn't hear.
Taehyung was looking at the floor, his brow furrowed. The boy didn't understand why his parents didn't understand him. Because that boy was really beautiful, more beautiful than any girl. Girls were always boring, always gossiping and pretending to be important, but that boy, he was all that caught his attention.
- Tae, honey, how about we go to the Parks tonight? Marissa's mother told me they would like to come over for dinner?
- But mom, Marissa is boring.
- Shut up, Tae! I don't want to hear that! Tonight we will go, and that's the end of the discussion! - the woman declared, and then headed towards the kitchen, but suddenly she stopped and turned back to the child.
- Pick up that backpack from the floor. And make sure you wear a clean and nice shirt tonight.
- Sir, we have arrived. - his thoughts were interrupted when he heard the man speaking in bad English. Taehyung paid with a nod and got out of the taxi facing the even hotter air.
- Fuck. - he stuttered when he adjusted the cap better on his head.
He wiped the beads of sweat that had formed on his face with his palm, then headed across the sandy area. His legs were failing from time to time, but he handled it well.
The man walked for a few minutes, before he saw a white jeep in the distance. He immediately knew that he had found him among billions of people.
He found Jungkook and thus himself.
When he got closer to the car, he could see the younger one leaning his head against the windshield, eyes closed. Not wanting to frighten him, he quietly called his name.
Jungkook opened his eyes with the speed of light and got up from the hood of the car.
- Huhuh... take it easy, Jungkook! It's me! - Taehyung said quietly with his hands as if surrendering, when he saw the frightened younger. Jungkook relaxed a bit when he realized who it was.
- You scared me, Tae! - he said and then returned to his seat.
- Why are you here? - Jungkook asked without looking at the elder.
