"Shh my love. They will hear us if we don't quiet down."

"Paranoid you are. Don't worry Harold. We're safe."

He stroked my hair lingering centimetres from my lips. "We're never safe enough don't let your guard down. There's always a risk.

I nodded " sorry Harold I didn't mean to let my guard down. I don't want you to get hurt..."

" and i don't want you to get in trouble my love. If my mother or father finds out, we'll be separated a-and I can't live without you Melly." I looked into his deep green eyes, caressing his check "kiss me." I whispered.

He did just so without hesitation. He pressed his soft lips on mine, and it was like everything else disappeared. All there was was us. Until...

"Melly!" Called out a low gruff voice "Harold!" I gasped " Melly Horan." It yelled again.

"Harold, it's my father!" I cried. Panic filled my mind, my heart raced.

"Melly, My love. No matter what happens, remember that I will ALWAYS love you, I will NOT give up on us if we are separated I will find you again, I swear to it. You will not be forgotten." Harold assured me. His voice trembled, I could hear it, but he put on a brave face for me. Inside, however, we were both scared for what will happen... To us. To one another.

"Melly" he sighed.

He breathes slowly and quietly. He wrapped his arms around me. We stood in each others embrace for what seemed like the scariest moments of our lives

"Harold." I whisper, silent tears slid down my cheeks, onto his tuxedo. It was torture believing, that was the last time we would ever be together. My heels sunk into the dirt, my teal blue dress brown at the bottom, it layes at the dirty floor as well. I had worn the big Cinderella- like dress to the ball that night with hopes that my Harold would like it. Now, it may be the last thing he would ever see me in. My dirty blonde curls fell messily over my shoulders. My stormy grey eyes shiny with tears. I heard my father call again and again. And ten he bellowed from 2 metres away.

"MELLY!" I gasped untangling my body from Harold's

"F- Father." I whispered

"What are you doing!?" He yelled, "I told you not to see this British boy any longer, Melly!" He yelled grabbing me by the arm

"No!" I screamed trying to snatch my arm away.

"Father! I love him!"

I finally jerked my arm free and sent myself staggering into Harold's arms

"You..... You let go of my daughter." My father screamed at Harold

" Please, Mr. Horan! I love her! She is Irish-"

"Let go of her. We need not from one of you Brits. You've influenced her in disgusting ways. Leave her. She is NOT safe with you!" He demanded

"Father!"

"Mr.horan!" Harold and I yelled simultaneously

"Hand her Over!" Father as if I was inanimate object to be possessed. Coldly. By now tears were streaming down both mine and Harry's faces. Our hands grippers one another's. tightly.

"Melly Lee Horan we are leaving." My father yelled. He snatched me away from Harold, pushing him back. He started dragging me away from Harold. My Love. My one and Only.

"Harold!" I called. My voice breaking.

"My Melly! My Love!" He cried

My father didn't stop. He didn't look back. He heartlessly forces me to leave my beautiful curly- haired Harold. He packed my things whiled I sat in our cold empty shed. He was sending me to a boarding school... In Canada. Where I had no chance of seeing my beloved. That very night, I swore to myself I would never forgive him for this. I absolutely detested him. If there was a word stronger than hate, that's how I felt about him. He acted like he owned me . Not a damn for my feeling. He thought he was soooo smart. Thinks he knows what's good for me.
