Two Boys, Two Tux's

|~Chapter 1~|

The sun shone through the window, the birds could be heard through the slightly opened window, with a slight breeze grazing the curtains. Femi hopped out of bed and ran downstairs at the smell of pancakes with golden syrup.

"Morning Brydad, Morning Papa! This smells really good!" Bryan turned and smiled at his daughter's smiling face and really messed up hair due to the fact she just got out of bed, tail wagging exited to sit at the table.
"Good morning Femi, are you ready for the ball on Friday night? It's been a pain to organize and set up, but it's finally ready." Bryan said turning back to the pancakes and flipping them over.
"OMG yes I'm so exited Brydad! It's going to be the best party yet, I've already made a dress for myself and a jumpsuit for Lotus. But I don't know about Hex, he said that he would organize it himself. Highly doubt he has and is going to." Femi said as she sat down at the table where pancakes have been set up as she drooped her ears and her tail stopped wagging.

Bryan sighed and turned the stove off.
"It's hard to get your brother to do anything, He does things when he feels like it, but we've got to get or make him a suit, he has to be represented accordingly, you kids are a few days away from being adults. Since Hex is the oldest of the three of you by a few minutes he is the heir to become the new Pharaoh of the underworld and rule with your papa. We have to try and make him look perfect. He is the grandson of Anubis after all." Bryan sat down at the table eating his own pancakes.

Inpu walked in and made some toast whilst head in a book reading. 
"Morning Fems, morning Babe." Inpu gave Bryan a kiss on the cheek eyes still glued to his book.
"Good morning Babe, how was your sleep. I knew you were tossing and turning a lot." Bryan said cutting up his pancakes.
"Oh yeah sorry about that, just thinking over of how my children's 18th birthday is gonna go." Inpu said putting his book down and hugging Femi as she put her food in her mouth trying to reach for a glass of water.

Lotus came running down the stairs and tripping over their own foot, getting caught by the taller male behind him.
"Watch where you're going Lotus." Hex Flicked the back of Lotus's head pushing Lotus forward and to the table.
"Well good morning you two, Hex, care for pancakes, its only two days until the big day, you'll need some energy." Bryan placed his plate in the sink, ready to be washed once everyone was finished.
"Thanks but no thanks. I need to go get some air in my wings before I do anything... Maybe later if I'm even hungry." Hex walked out wings spread when he got out the door. One flap of the wings and he was high up in the sky. Femi, Lotus, Bryan and Inpu went outside to enjoy the morning sun.

Femi sat in the warmest part of the grass and opened up her new book that she started reading the previous night, Lotus started playing with Inpu near the flower garden, tackling each other, gently so they aren't hurting each other. Bryan sat on the patio step and sighed as he watched Hex do flips in the morning sky. Inpu noticed and put Lotus down, walked over and sat next to Bryan on the step.
"Hey Bryan, what's wrong, you seem quite off today." Bryan looked at the sky then stared at the grass.
"Well our only children are all going to be adults by the end of the week... I've never really had a fly with our son since he was 4, seeing him up there... Brings back that I've never really had time to spend with him alone. I just hope the ball would be good for them, especially Hex."

Inpu put his hand on Bryan's and helped him off the step.
"Then go fly with your boy, even when he is all grown up, this won't be the last flight you'll have with him." Bryan smiled and flew up into the sky. Inpu smiled and sat next to Lotus and Femi and started reading with them.

Bryan met up with Hex in the sky.
"So feel like a race Hexus?" Hex grinned at his dad and flew off, breaking the sound barrier as he bolted. Bryan stood in shock knowing he would never catch up but proceeded to go after him anyways. Eventually Hex stopped and just waited for his dad.
"Losing your touch dad?" Hex smirked
"Oh no, I was just never fast, wanna head back down? Hit the target a little bit?" Bryan huffed as he caught up, wanting to take a break.

Hex smiled a tiny bit, he doesn't smile a lot. he sped back down to where Inpu, Lotus and Femi were. He just sat down for a tiny bit just having a small break. Bryan came down to the ground and just collapsed, laughing at the way he fell.
"OMG Brydad are you good?" Femi said laughing.
"Yeah don't worry Fems I'm good, you're brother is just too fast for me." Bryan just lied there accepting defeat. Hex just sat there staring at the grass, picking strands up and tearing them apart.

Eventually Hex got up as it started to get too warm outside, when the sun shine was just too much for his skin to handle. He got up with anger for some unknown reason, he got up in a huff and just walked off. Inpu decided to go check up on him. Hex was up in his room, sitting on his bed twiddling his thumbs.
"Alright Hex, what's up... You got up in such a grumpy way." Inpu sits next to Hex on his bed, Hex still fiddling with his hands. Hex didn't answer. His breath was shaky like something has scared him or frustrated him.
"Need a stress ball? Remember Mr. Squish? I can go get him from the box if you'd like." Hex's expression seemed to tense up, fiddling with his hands more rough.
"Ok I won't get Mr. Squish, but please tell me what's up." Inpu knew that Hex didn't like to be touched, so he wouldn't put a hand on his shoulder or hand or knee.

Hex took a shaky deep breath before speaking.
"I saw the party. I saw how everyone was having a swell time... everyone apart from me. All the attention is on Lotus and Femi. I'm happy for them, it's just as I want it to be." Hex fell silent for a minute still fidgeting and picking at his hands.
"Is that a bad thing? How has that got you so upset?" Inpu sat trying to look Hex in the eye, Hex only has one eye, due to an accident he had with one of his uncles, scar down the left side of his face.
"An uninvited guest shows up. Ruins it for Lotus and Femi. They took someone, I don't know who but I cared deeply for them, In a really strange way..."
