It was a normal Saturday evening in September 1983, Corby. Families were together, all happy and loving except for one. The famous, money making Coldstone family. They ran the most successful shoe store in the whole of Corby. Everyone was involved.

The widower of the family, Grandpa Jordan, was the father of 4 sons. He was 5ft, usually wore a grey fleece, had grey, straight hair and blue, crystal eyes. He also had yellow, rotten teeth. His job in the family was to promote the shoes to other places in town. He was 90 years old, born in 1893. He always spoke the greatness of his ancestors like they were war heroes.

2 of his children were the 7ft, 40 years old twins, Lennie and Bennie. They were fairly skinny, with nice white teeth and gorgeous, fair, green eyes. The way they can be easily differentiated is Lennie had brown hair and Bennie had black hair. They joined the business the latest because before the closure if the Steelworks in 1980s, they were happily working there. Now, they serve the customers. They were the only souls in the current family tree to never have dated, probably for their nutty attitude.

Another of his children was Syke O Coldstone. He was 35 years old, 6ft, with mysterious black eyes and ginger hair. He had a big role in the business with making the shoes. He was very skilled, but scheming and quiet. He had a wife and a child named Victoria and Joseph. Victoria helped making shoes. She was 42 years old, with black hair and violet eyes. She wore a crystal, blue dress. She was quite pretty according to everyone in the neighbourhood. Joseph goes to school and usually spends his time revising for his exams, so he doesn't do the business as much, but he spends 1 hour each Saturday helping Lennie and Bennie. He was 15 years old, had black hair, blue eyes and was 5,9. Everyone praised him for his independency and awards at school.

Ronald was the main man of the business. He was 6ft, had black hair and hazel eyes. He was the oldest child at 50 years old. He didn't do much of the physical work, but he ran the business, did the statistics. He kept all the money instead of paying the family. He does this to invest the money into stuff he thinks that will be beneficial to either the business or the family. He was really snappy. Surprisingly, he had a wife and a son. His wife is named Jessica. She was adored by the whole area for her sweet nature. She was 5,4, blue eyes and brown hair. She was very beautiful. She delivered the shoes. Their son was the sinister Tyson. He was 13 years old. He was quite the rebel in school. Not the sharpest in terms of grades, but smart in terms of manipulation. He had brown hair and eyes. He loaded up the van full of shoes on Saturdays.

On that evening in September, the family sat down at the dinner table.

Ronald cleared his throat. "Your work ethic hasn't been the best lately. It has never been. This is disappointing because of a decision I'm making."

"What do you mean?" asked Grandpa Jordan, anticipating.

"I am going soon." Ronald sighed.

"Don't tell me my oldest son has AIDs," cried Grandpa Jordan.

"No, shut up, stop interrupting me! Listen, I am moving in a week. I want to carry out my business in different places for more income. I will settle in London. Then, I will have a franchise in different areas. Cockermouth, Leicester, Shoreditch, all lovely places. Who will run them? Friends I meet along my travels. Then in Paris, Amsterdam, Lagos, Barcelona. The real question now is who will run this shop? Syke, you are getting a promotion because you are the one I look down upon the least. You will have your position taken if you don't run it like me."

Syke was speechless. "Wow thank you and good luck."

Everyone gave a faint grin because they hated how the business was ran and Ronald's attitude.

He gave a side eye. "Right, we are going to sit in the living room like a family after I've done the dishes."

The grins went into an eye roll because they hate how controlling Ronald was in free time.

Everyone marched into the living room except for Syke who paused for a moment. He was going to run this. The battle of slavery was over! He had a huge, confident smile on his delighted face. "You coming hubby?" shouted Victoria.

 "Mhm," Syke sighed.
