Vic

"Victoria can you come to help me with lunch?", I heard my dad yell from downstairs. I got up and headed downstairs like he had asked.

After lunch I offered to do the dishes as he got ready to go to work. Tomorrow I would have school and the history project with Julia. She texted me yesterday saying that she would return my hoodie tommorow but I just told her to keep it since I have plenty of those anyway.

My friends were coming back tonight but we probably won't see before Wednesday as I had work on Tuesday. I work at dad's tattoo studio and do tattoo sessions with my few clients aside from school.

For today I honestly don't have anything planned so I think I will just draw some designs and go grocery shopping. The nearest store was only 15 minutes away so I can just walk there.

Julia

"C'mon tell me whose hoodie it is alreadyyy", Indy whined for the tenth time since being here. "Even just tell me how you got it, pleasee".

"Fine", and so I explained how I got it but I never mentioned any names, or pronouns.

"And you didn't tell me when you got home?!"

"I thought I'd tell you when we hanged out and here we are"

"Did you get his number at least?", Indy asked.

'His'.

"Nope".

"Wait can I smell the hoodie?", I hesitated for a moment but just nodded. Indy took my arm and sniffed the sleeve.

"That has to be a pretty expensive perfume, it also does smell like gas.. and cigarettes?", I also sniffed my sleeve to see if I could smell it as well. And I did.

"I didn't even realize that it smelled like cigarettes", I said out loud.

"So that guy is an interesting combo I see?", Indy asked smirking at me.

"Yeah I guess ", was all that I managed to get out. I wasn't sure if I should tell Indy that 'the guy' was actually a she but for now I might just keep it to myself.

"So is there anything else you've kept from me or are we clear? Also, you have to inform me about everything the moment you can. You cant just keep shit like this to yourself without sharing".

I laughed at her serious tone. "Yea yea, don't worry"

Later that evening

I was doing my homework in my room and all I had left was the math exercises. And, as you probably know at this point, math isn't my strongest subject. Indy had left couple of hours ago so I didn't want to bother her again as she was going out with Cade tonight.

I could ask Vic to help.

I mean, she was my tutor after all, but I really didn't want to bother her either after she saved me just a day ago. I was home with just my mom again, dad was coming home in couple of hours and my brother was staying at his buds house.

I went downstairs to look for my mom in hopes for her to help me with the homework. As I reached our living room I would see her on the sofa.

"Could you help me with my homework?"

"Julia, for the last time, you can do it yourself", mom stuttered out. That was when I noticed the bottle of wine on the table. Mom had started drinking more often when dad was out of the house. She didn't turn aggressive, but would just get annoyed way easier than sober.

"We got you a tutor who you seem to come along with, so why don't you ask her to come and help you?", she didn't leave me any other options as she just got up and walked to the bedroom without saying anything.
