"YOU BETTER BE". He rises. She knows what's coming. It's the same every time. "Get your ass on the floor" she moves swiftly, but obviously not quick enough.
"NOW!"
A blow to the head. She shields herself, but he is far too strong. He lifts her tiny figure and slams it back on the floor. Her arms do nothing to protect her head which is now throbbing. He kicks her In the ribs and walks out.
"I want you gone in 30 seconds"
She lifts her arm from her face and takes a peak, making sure he's gone. Once reassured, she moves quickly and quietly to collect the report card, containing straight A's bar one, and leaves the room. Down the hall and the first door on the right. That's her room. It's filthy and it stinks, but she doesn't have the tools to clean it. She hates it when people complain about having to clean there's. Oh how she envies them. The room contains nothing more than a dirty, old king mattress that has been cut down the middle and a box of filthy clothing.
