nari sat at the computer finishing up the email she had to send to the editing team, including the description of how the last shoot went and what the plans were for tomorrow.

"nari," jungwoo says in a sing song voice peering over at her from his desk.

"what?" she responds back to him her eyes not leaving her screen and her fingers continued to type on the keyboard.

"are you coming out tonight?" he asks her. her and jungwoo reconciled recently after she apologized him and told him she appreciated him looking out for her.

she looks up at him, "what are you talking about?"

"dowoon is taking the team out for drinks because of the rise in numbers of companies wanting to work with us, haven't you seen your texts?" brows furrowed in confusion. "nari please don't tell me you were working that hard you haven't looked at your phone? they sent the texts hours ago."

she shakes her head, "i just got really focused on my work." she says.

he notices the coffee was still full on her desk. "are you okay?"

"yeah fine." she tells him. "why?"

"you just seem out of it," he tells her looking her over. "you feeling okay?"

she shakes her head, "didn't get much sleep last night."

"you get in a fight with hyungwon?" he asks her.

she shakes her head, "no i just was struggling with my sleep schedule. i didn't even go to the base for the past two weekends to visit hyungwon. we've been talking everyday it's not him."

he nods his head, "well whatever is on your mind, can be erased if you come out tonight."

"no."

he looks at her surprised, "no?" he walks over and turns her seat to face her. "did you just tell me no?"

she nods her head pursing her lips, "yeah i just told you no."

"why?" he asks her. "we never go out after work. like ever and we've been friends for a while. i think you owe it to me as your best friend."

"no. also who said you were my best friend?"

he sighs dramatically, "i'm self appoint but nari, come on. all you have to do is eat and have one drink." he notices quickly that she wasn't budging. "i will get on my knees and start begging if you don't."

"you'll only embarrass yourself," she responds back to him as he begins to get down on his knees she rolls her eyes at him playfully, "because i want to save you from that i'll go."

he stands back up and adjust himself, "okay then moon nari let's have fun tonight." he sings as he walks back to his desk.

she rolls her eyes at him and adjusts herself back into her desk, again trying to keep her mind blocked from her own thoughts littering her mind.

it wasn't long until the entire team was seated around the table at a local chicken restaurant. dowoon had made sure everyone had a glass full of alcohol as he raised his glass. "thank you all for your hard work, here's to an amazing staff and an amazing leader," he points to himself, with a grin.

nari playfully rolls her eyes at the response and drink along with the team. she hoped the alcohol didn't get to her quickly. she then looks at jungwoo. "he's so full of himself."

"i thought we knew that," he whispers back to her with a grin

she laughs and sips her glass of water. the conversation around them was solely about work and honestly it bored her. if only they knew how annoying they sound kissing their leaders ass. as if he deserved any of it. he always led them blindly and made them figure it out themselves.
