19 𓇬 My Father's Voice

Eventually, i went to sleep after deciding that all my problems were now tomorrow's problem.

..Now, i hate my past self.

Putting that aside, I pushed myself up and looked over at the time.

8 o'clock.

Then relaxing back into my bed, just to stare at the ceiling..

I don't know how Gilgamesh expects me to know what time i'm supposed to show up.

Let alone, figuring out where i'm actually supposed to meet him.

So, instead, i opt to just stare at my ceiling and think about what my life has become.

Lucky for me, i don't get too long to think about it.

"Y/N"

Or maybe not lucky for me...

It was my father's voice.

With a sigh, i pushed myself out of bed and went to head for his office.

But instead i was immediately met with him outside my door..

My first thought being, thank god this happened during one of the only times Gilgamesh wasn't laying across my bed for no reason.

"Father.? Did you need something?"

I saw him let out a deep sigh before he told me..

"I talked to your mother.. and we decided.. it's time for you to go"

What..?

"..I'm fine to keep doing the research! I wasn't trying to complain, i swear!"

"..There was a situation with Rin, it's not safe here. They need to get further away, and you're going with them"

"You can't be se-"

"Y/N, it's already decided"

Seriously?!

So, i instead just push past him and head down the hall.

I heard a sigh as i left him, and i soon turned out a door and went into the garden.

Just taking a seat on the closest bench, and letting my head fall into my hands.

I guess that's it..

I'm just going home now.

At least, it'll be nice to see-

"Y/N"

Gilgamesh.?

"You're late"

You've got to be kidding me.

I take my head out of my hands and glare at the Gilgamesh who was standing on the other side of the garden..

"Seriously.? It's 8?!"

"It's 8:06"

..I'm going to kill him.

And if that wasn't enough, he continues..

"I don't see why you're upset, if anyone should be annoyed it's me"

"Are you kidding me?!"

He has to be joking, right?

"As i see it, you rejected my proposal and didn't turn up to our date"

It was a date?!

Choosing to ignore that for now, i instead argue..

"Come on that wasn't a real proposal and you know it!"

And weirdly Gilgamesh doesn't reply..

I stare at him for a second and wait, but nothing.

It's weird seeing him quiet..

And when i finally go to question him-

"Y/N.. Can i speak with you for a moment?"

My father's voice.

Fuck!
