"It's been such a trial! So much pressure on us....I knew nothing good could come from this and yet we pushed on, I swear it's only made everything worse!" A tall, thin, woman with raven black hair sobbed into a handkerchief. Just like everyone else in the room, one other women, two men, and a young boy, she was dressed in dark formal attire, as if they were attending a funeral. The subject at hand was just as dire as far as the group was concerned. "No body can blame you! You tried so hard already, you and your husband deserve to be happy, right?" the other woman consoled the crying lady "This is better for everyone" The husbands sat quietly, the rounder, shorter one smiling in awkward silence, while the tall, sharp and severe looking one stared stone faced at a wall, only breaking his intense gaze on the wall to turn it on the seven year old boy sitting next to him, who also shared his pale skin and frizzy black hair. "Seven long years, Hana, and what do we have to show for it, I knew it'd turn out wrong, how could it not, we were never ready for a child, and when we try to make it work it blows up in out face, the coven leaders are judging out every move, I just..OHhhoooooooo!" the woman broke off in a long sob and cupped her face in her hands. Hana gave her a sympathetic smile "Monica, come now, it's not your fault, or Kane's, it's just bad luck he was born on a new moon instead of a full one, but don't worry, me and Benjiro will handle it, like our first son, won't we honey?" Hana said, turning to the short round man next to her. He jolted a bit at being addressed "Oh, uh, yes, dear" he replied meekly. Hana turned back to Monica "Oswald will be in good hands with us, and you won't have to worry about the coven heads breathing down your neck about his...abilities..." she began politely, but the sharp looking man snorted, only partially under his breath "You mean the lack of them.." the rest of the adults went silent for a moment, and the young boy just sat there, staring blankly at the ground, wondering and hoping a large black hole would just appear under his chair to swallow him whole, so he didn't have to listen...

"Ozz?" a voice snapped the the dark haired boy into reality. He looked up, the light of the moon barely broke through trees, and had him wondering for a moment if the black hole had actually taken him. But of course, that was a foolish thought, he merely got distracted. Again. A girl seemed to materialize out of the darkness of the woods as everything around came back into focus "You got tangled up...In the memories again, didn't you?" the girl asked, her dark brown eyes filling with concern. Ozzy shook his head to clear the fuzz, it felt like he had just woken up from a dream, more like a nightmare, he thought bitterly "I'm fine.." he muttered, standing up from the stump he was leaning against and dusting debris from from black hoodie "I'll figure out how to get around them eventually" he said that every night now, and every time he said it he became a little less convinced. Still, Teddy didn't seem to want to give up on him, so he wasn't going to give up either. The girl sighed "We should probably call it quits for today, we can try again this weekend, we shouldn't stay up so long on a school night anyway..." she glanced worriedly behind her "Besides...I'm not sure how safe this area is anymore....we may have to change training locations..." . Ozzy bristled a bit, partially in anger, partially in alarm that his friend was slowly starting to give up on him "I'll get it soon I swear" he insisted, trying to keep the desperation from creeping in his voice "And once I can access my magic we could defend the woods together, you wouldn't have to worry about dealing with Lucius alone, I promise, Ted..". Teddy smiled warmly at him "I know Ozz, I know...I'm just a bit concerned is all.....Besides, you need a break anyway, going through the in between so many times could probably cause more harm than build your resistance to it....You know?...Better safe than sorry" Ozzy shrugged and gave a dismissive sniff "I'm not in a rush to go home...I don't mind training for a bit longer..." . Both stood in silence for a bit, he knew Teddy wouldn't say anything to preserve his pride, but he could feel the sympathy...the pity, practically radiating from her. Finally, her sedate tone broke the quiet tension "We could...Try again a few more times...Though I think it'd be best to try in while in dreams, that way you can at least get some rest..." Ozzy nodded. "Yeah, that's alright..." . Another short stretch of silence broke out before Teddy began hesitantly "Do...Do you need to tell your aunt and uncle you'll be out late? I wouldn't want to get you in trouble-" "It doesn't matter." Ozzy interrupted sharply, It won't change how things normally go anyway..., he thought, still, he dreaded the thought of the repercussions of staying out without telling them, but it rivalled with the rebellious fire burning in him, he didn't give a damn about what his 'caretakers' wanted from him, at least tried not to care for a long time by then....
