A young girl walks in, she's in a tidy uniform and neatly tied hair braids. She was rather tall for a high schooler.

"She is your new classmate! Be nice to her!"

Teacher Kyoko yelled as she slammed her hand onto the table. The table slam caught the attention of one of the kid who was sitting at the back, he has pitch-black piercing eyes and long blonde hair that is only tied at the top with the hair on the sides moving freely. He looks extremely uninterested with the appearance of me in the class.

"Introduce yourself."

This time, Kyoko-sensei's tone was much softer than before. I took a deep breath and put on a smile on face. I faked my nervousness and makes myself look so much more timid than what I used to be.

"Umm, I- I- I am- (Y/n real name)!
Nice to meet you!"

I bow down to the class. He still seems uninterested in me. I don't really care about him, all I need is to make sure their first impression of me is not a bad one.

"You may sit next to Manjiro. Back there next to the window."

Kyoko-sensei adds. I didn't answer her, only bows down and went to my seat.
I sat on the chair, portraying my fake nervousness to the person next to me.

"Uh...Hello? I- I wish we could be friends?"

I said in a soft and friendly tone to him and all he did was ignore me. The audacity to ignore me is unbelievable.

"Is that a no? Manjiro-san?"

I asked him again for validation from him. He turns to me and points his finger to him.

"Don't call me that and stop talking like that."

What? Then what am I supposed to call him then? Annoying classmate to handle. Tch, what's wrong with my voice?

"Mikey. Call me that."

He adds. I bows my head down to him, not answering.

"Stop bowing, I know you don't like bowing to other people, you're too easy to read. It's annoying to see you bows."

Pure shock was on my face but I held back from showing it to him. How did he know in the first place? He sees through my acting? I need to be careful with him.

"Well, I bows down because I don't want to be rude to people."

My tone were normal, not friendly like earlier. I managed to keep my calm composure back after his statement. I tried to makes myself look so much more innocent.

"We're in a same age."

He glared at me as he said that so blatantly. As if I don't know how old is he.

"But I think it's pretty rude.."

He sighs as I ended my sentence. He stands up from his seat.

"Let me change seat with Toru. This girl is annoying."

His tone was harsh and loud. I kept a calm and collected expression. It's time to act victim in order to save my face. I put on a sad look as he changed his seat with Toru. The fish catches the bait, Toru seems to sympathize with me.

"Manjiro, what do you do to her? She looks down."

Toru Kanzaki, the class monitor and representative. She's easy to fall for my trap. Being friends with her benefits me. On point of that, she has a lot of friends and teacher's put trust on her.

"What?"

Mikey response seems to trigger the whole class. His response seems like an empty words. He stands up to Toru Kanzaki.

"Wait? Did he bully the new kid?"
"I knew it, he's no good."
"So cruel."
"What happened?"

The loud chatter can be heard from afar. Kyoko-sensei's presence stopped them from going on any longer.

"Stop at once! The class is starting!"

Both Kanzaki and Mikey stops arguing. Mikey went back to his seat, seems dissatisfied on how the argument ends. Kanzaki sits back and get ready for the class. She turns to me and waves.

"Hey, I'm Toru Kanzaki! Nice to meet you!"

Her tone were cheery and happy. An easy prey.

"oh? Yes! Can- Can you be my friend?
.."

I put on my fake nervousness and makes myself seem to be sad about Mikey's behavior earlier.

"Sure! And don't take things too seriously with him! Mikey is always like that so don't worry!"

He seems to be very close with class monitor since she didn't even think bad of him. I need to separate them in any way. Kanzaki is my ally and you shall not take her away from me.

"Okay... Can we.. I don't have a partner to eat together during recess... Can we?"

I asked in a nervous tone.

"Sure! I'll be happy to eat together!"

I'll make Kanzaki my ally who always be by my side and separate her from Mikey.
