It was the first day for y/n at her new school. Her family and her moved to a different place after the sudden passing away of y/n's father.
Her mom and her favorite cousin Ji-ah came to drop off y/n and her little brother. They happily went in to make new friends and meet new people and meet the new teachers. y/n and her brother were quite the bright students in their previous school. y/n was very popular and loved by most of the students in her old school. So, to be honest it was quite the hard venture for y/n to leave everything behind and start a fresh. She had to let go of her bestfriend, her popularity, everything she knew, she learnt and most of all move on from her dad's passing away.
She was quite the strong headed and a badass girl, although she was a kind and sweet girl. She decided she would never show her emotions in front of anyone and not cry thinking about her dad in front anyone especially in the presence of their mother, as it would only hurt her more to see her mother getting even more worried and sad just because she cried. her brother was at the mere age of 8, if she isn't strong enough to support the two of them emotionally and morally, she thought she wasn't strong at all. She didn't trust her relatives to be very reliable and supportive for her mother at their current plight. Talk about trust issues. Like bottling up issues was the best solution. (note the sarcasm).
She entered a classroom like she was instructed. The teacher in that classroom asked a girl to guide her to a different classroom (no it's not tae's. lol sorry). When she walked in all the eyes turned to her. It's not that she shies away from attention, but this was the "SHE'S A NEW GIRL" kinda one. so that was new to her. She just walked to the very back of the class and took a seat without sparing anyone a glance.
Y/N POV:
A girl in front of me turned around and gave me a warm smile. She then introduced herself to me. " Hi! I'm Na-ri. What is your name?" I was so glad that she spoke to me that I respond immediately with a grin." Hi. I'm Y/N. Nice to meet you." the teacher wasn't really paying attention, so the other girl continued "Oh nice. Can I be your friend?" she asked. " Sure, why not?" I responded with a huge smile on my face.
The teacher then did a roll call and gave an on-spot assignment to just write a small essay on any topic of our choice. I was so excited to do something like this on the very first day of school! So, I quickly wrote a short essay about books. Come on who am I kidding i love reading and writing. So, I thought I pretty much nailed it. All of a sudden, the teacher asked if anybody wanted to read out their essay in front of the class. I was nervous and excited all at the same. She was looking at the class and nobody volunteered. So, she looked at me and called me out to read it out. She also asked me to introduce myself to the class. So I did. "Hello everyone, I'm y/n. Nice to meet you all." Na-ri waved at me with a smile. I just smiled and read out my essay. I was so happy that the teacher loved it and everyone had an impressed look on their face once i was done. I said 'thank you' and just went back to my seat.
Author POV:
Soon, it was break time and y/n was enjoying her time in her new school and she really liked it. she was on the way to the restroom with Na-ri. She made quite a lot of friends right on the first day itself. and an hour later the day at her new school ended. She walked out with her brother to find their mom and Ji-ah waiting for them.
Y/M/N POV:
I was waiting for my kids to come out of their school with Ji-ah and I saw my darlings walking out together laughing and talking happily. Tears welled up in my eyes looking at them and realizing they were happy with their new school.
Y/N POV:
I hugged my mom and Ji-ah and started ranting on and on about how happy we both were with our new school and how we already made friends. I also told her not to worry about either of us, and kissed her on the cheek. Ji-ah suddenly squealed with happiness "Awwww. You both are the cutest little cousins I could ever have. I'm so happy for you guys! I love you people!" I laughed at her, and we all went in for a group hug and started walking away.
Author POV:
Little did y/n know that someone was watching her with curious eyes.
Taehyung POV:
I saw her for the first time today morning when the girl from the other class was taking her to another class. Oh, how I wish she was in my class. I wonder what her name is. I asked that girl what her name was. "I don't know. she was quiet and i also didn't ask her anything. Maybe she was awkward because she is new." the girl said. I just nodded my head in disappointment and went back to my class.
Now as I was walking out of school, I saw her once again. But, this time she was with three other people, maybe her family. She was so happy and laughing unlike today morning. I guess she really liked our school. Hope i get to talk to her soon.
Author POV:
Taehyung saw her and was so eager and curious to talk to her and get to know her. Unknowingly a smile crept on his face looking at her being all happy and laughing. He walked away towards his home mind filled with the new girl and her smile.
