Any sound was barely heard as you scrolled through your phone on a cold Friday evening.
You were all by yourself in your room, the breeze from the open window playing with your hair slightly.

As some minutes passed of sitting up on your bed, you turned to your side, facing your wall as you continued to look at your phone.
Really, you weren't paying attention to things around you.

A small and low buzzing sound was heard somewhere around you...but you didn't acknowlege it. Assuming it was some noise outside.

When the weird noise stopped, you noticed your room turn a little bit darker.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you sat up again, feeling confused.
You finally decided to turn around towards the previously heard noise.

Then something unexpected hit you...quite literally.

Heavy weight could be felt right on top of you as some sort of ropes wrapped around your wrists.
Though...those weren't ropes.
It was web.

And that heavy weight on you was, the one and only, Miguel's.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" your voice raised as you looked at Miguel right in his eyes, feeling lost in everything.
"You're scared...I can also feel you getting really confused." he got off top of you as he started to walk around your room.

"What the hell do you mean?!" you replied with the same tone "You came here unexpecte-"

"Yes, that was my point." Miguel turned to you and stood right beside your bed "As a spider-man, you have to he always prepared for everything."

As your gaze was on Miguel, you looked down and thought for a moment. "This wasn't the training I asked for."

Miguel chuckled deeply at your words as he started to pace around your room again. "I apologize, I'll show you the real stuff now."
He suddenly jumped to your window's frame as he looked down at the city.

New York City.
The city full of life, even after midnight.

Finally, you got off of your bed as you managed to sit beside Miguel on your window.

"So...could you jump on that building for me." Miguel asked, not looking at you.
You looked at him as he spoke though. His eyes shined with all of the NY lights in his surroundings.

"Well..." you sighed "I can...I can only shoot that web out when I feel adrenaline through my body....otherwise I ca-"

Suddenly, you felt Miguel's hand on your back as he gave you a slight push.
With obvious and understanding panic, you twitched and started to fall off until you caught yourself on the window frame.

...with your web.

All panicked up, you managed to stick onto the wall with one of your hands as you refused to move your gaze.

"Are you INSANE?!" you yelled at Miguel, finally deciding to look up at him. He had a serious look on his face, but you could tell he was hiding a smirk under it.
Anyone could.

"Even if you did fall, you'd catch yourself on that metal staircase towards the roof." he said, finally letting a little bit of that smirk come through.
"So?! I could have died!"
defensivly, you yelled as you started to climb back up on the window frame.

"Not really, but I apologi-"
"Again?!" your eyes widdened as you looked at Miguel.

"Yes...but listen." Miguel's voice suddenly turned even more serious "I need you to realize that you are the only spider-man here on your Earth. You still managed to catch yourself, even though you were scared...that's something. I'll teach you how to do it when you're not."
Miguel's voice softened more and more with each sentence.

Your eyes looked up at him like a curious puppy, listening to him. Listening to his words.

"Okay, Miguel..." you looked down, trying to keep yourself together.

"Pfft, Miguel?" he tilted his head, meeting your gaze again "I'm no Miguel, it's 'sir ' for you."

Suddenly, he jumped out of the window as he used the immaculate power to jump forward, further than a human being.
Now, he was on the other building, the building besides yours.

You stared at him in shock as Miguel had an almost-like-smirk on his face. You could make it up.

"...Alright, sir ." you chuckled to yourself as you got in a jumping position.

"Listen, as spider-man, you have to be alert all the time. You have to feel that slight adrenaline somewhere in you...all of the time." Miguel spoke a bit loudly now.

Letting out a small sigh, you closed your eyes and nodded.
You took your precious time as you took Miguel's words seriously, before you finally jumped off.

As you did so, anyone could tell that was far from a average human jump.
Quickly, you noticed yourself falling quicked than expected.

Your pupils started to dialate and...

Miguel luckily caught you.

"Jesus Christ..." you looked down and started to laugh as Miguel held your hands tightly. "Hey...that was a good jump, kid." he smiled a little bit as he pulled you up.

"Hah...I'm no kid...don't call me that." when you were on the building, you tried to pull away your hands from Miguel's...but you failed.

"Woah...your spidey-senses work really quickly." you looked up at Miguel with embarrassment as he said that. "But hey...I can work with that. That's a big plus to your training."
You finally managed to pull your hands away from Miguel's.

The two of you ran through the New York City at night...just you and him.
You could tell both you and Miguel started to become more open to each other.

From jumping onto the buildings to using your web-shooters to knock out small objects.

Honestly...you could tell by every action, Miguel was becoming proud of you.
Really proud.

The morning sun started to rise amongst the huge buildings of the city, as you and Miguel sat on top of yours.

Along with Miguel, you were proud of your own self too.
"Hey..." he spoke up quietly. You turned your head to him without any words, pure happiness was filling your eyes.

"You're not too bad...but..." Miguel then got up as he started to fiddle with his watch "I have to go now. Same time tomorrow?" A portal appeared in front of him, yet he still looked at you.

You thought for a moment, looking at your hands that have finally done so much today. "Yes...sure, sir." happily, you looked up at Miguel.
You just started to climb down the stairs...then you heard Miguel's cold yet soft voice again:

"Oh, yeah...you can call me Miguel."
Then he disappeared.

You stood there on the stairs for a while, softly smiling to yourself.

Finally happy to have some sort of a "trainer" for all of this mess.
