Kresley was born into a coven that hated vampires. This became a problem when one of the witches had a vision that she was fated to the Mikaelsons, the first and most hated of vampires. Kresley is raised to become their greatest weakness and kill them, but when opportunity arises to escape her scheming coven, she takes it.
