Volume 1: Chapter 8

Opening

Location: Beacon Cliff

3rd P.O.V

Ozpin stands by the edge of the cliff watching on the screen how the students are doing, then Glynda appears to Ozpin, telling him about the progress the students each have made.

Glynda: "Our last pair has finally been formed, sir. The students are Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. The poor boy, I can hardly imagine those two getting along. Well, at least he's better off than Miss Nikkos."

Ozpin just stood there mysteriously and silently while Glynda continued speaking

Glynda: "I don't care what the transcripts say about that Jaune boy, but he is not ready for this level of combat. Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough."

Ozpin: "Glynda... even though he may lack the combat skill, he's still ready to learn better if we support him and train him the same way we train the students."

Glynda raised an eyebrow at what Ozpin said.

Glynda: "And you know this how?"

Ozpin: "Johnny thinks that he has potential, and he believes that Jaune can change the world for the better."

Glynda: "I just don't know what you see in that Johnny fellow."

Ozpin chuckles and says

Ozpin: "He reminds us of our old friend, and you can tell they're pretty much the same. But anyway, let's not get sidetracked. How's the progress going for the students?"

Glynda shows him the progress on the holo-tablet

Glynda: "It's going well, sir. At the current pace the students have, they should reach the temple within a calculation of at least a few minutes or so."

Glynda puts the tablet away and begins to walk away, but before she did, she stopped and looked at Ozpin curious.

Glynda: "Almost forgot to mention, what did you use as relics this year, Ozpin?"

Ozpin didn't reply as he stood there at the cliff silent.

Glynda: "Professor Ozpin..?"

Ozpin seemed to be looking at how Johnny, Weiss, and Ruby are doing.

Ozpin: "Intresting...."

As I leaned against a tree, Weiss paced back and forth, looking on where to go. And Ruby is sitting on the ground thinking as well.

Weiss was just struggling as always to find where to go.

Weiss: "The temple is definitely this way. I mean...that way, it's definitely there."

Weiss then walked to me and Ruby, annoyed of how difficult it is to find the way.

Weiss: "Guys, it's official we passed it."

I noticed Ruby got up from the ground, crossing her arms annoyed at Weiss.

Ruby: "Why can't you just admit that you have no idea where we're going and that we're lost."

Weiss: "Because I know exactly where we're going."

Johnny: "Weiss the last time we let ya lead, we kinda went through some dead ends."
