Wishpered Promises Of LoVE

Prologue

"You...I...I knew you would come back...ju..just for me. I knew you can never break your promise, Love,"Azel said holding his hand...while smiling through her tears.
Her hold on him was strong..as if she'll lose him the moment she'll lose her grip on him.
Her puffy red eyes and pained expressions were screaming the desperation and agony she was feeling inside.
But Rehan...gave her a blank look as if he was expecting this sort of reaction from her. His eyes were void of emotions.
"I...I love you...very very very much. Pl...please don't do this with me again. I got so scared...I..."she was ranting nonstop when suddenly the hand she was holding or to be precise clutching onto was snatched away from her.
Due to the sudden reflex she got imbalanced a little...but she was cautious enough to compose herself quickly.
She looked towards him...only to see a pair of  emotionless orbs which were looking at her with nothing but emptiness...his blank eyes were just like a white paper without a single line on it.
"R...Re...?"She stuttered not knowing what to say or how to converse with him. She again tried to touch his hand which he immediately moved away from her.
And at that moment a gush of numerous emotions played into his eyes. But the most surprising part was...she was unaware of any of these emotions. These were all so new for her....which surprised her more. Because it has never happened before that she couldn't understand him even after looking into his eyes. Neither, she has seen him giving her such looks before.
"Lun...."before she could even utter a single word..."But I don't love you,"his words broke her into so many tiny little pieces which were perhaps impossible to glue back together. She couldn't believe her own ears...an unknown shiver ran down her spine...scaring her to her bones. Salty hot liquids dripped down her eyes...clouding her whole vision. Her ocean blue eyes could truly be compared with the sea water today.
Azel tried to control her sobs...but it seemed uncontrollable. Today she felt betrayed not only by her own emotions but also by that person whom she loved more than her very ownself.
While Rehan...who used to get crazy if she even shed a single tear was totally calm today...as if all these didn't matter to him anymore. She didn't matter to him anymore.
His always soft eyes felt sharper than a knife today...piercing through her soul. It was the same orbs which used to look at her with adoration...but now those eyes were void of any kind of affection. Only looking at her with a look that was quivering her soul.
She tried to find whether he was joking with her or not..but she found none, not even a single trace of hint that would indicate that he was joking. And that was enough to break down her entire world in front of her own eyes.
A broken promise…a wounded heart…an incomplete relationship…and a profound hollowness was just left for her to bear all alone.
Did GOD really make her alone? Wasn't he going to support her...stand by her side through every thick and thin....just like he had promised her? Was all of that just meant to be broken? Or, will the promises that were wishpered with love ever get fulfilled?
