She thrashed out wildly before giving in.

Amelia inhaled deeply, savouring the crisp air as it filled her lungs. The melody birdsong creates a tranquil symphony. Lost in thought once again, she shook her head and prepares to give herself a motivational pep talk.

"Amelia," she declared, "it's time to put an end to the daydreams and make a good impression. That's why your parents sent you to this camp."

Surveying the lush green forest, she realised with a sinking heart that they had left without her. Standing up from the imposing boulder, she brushed her long, silky blonde hair away, revealing her stunning big blue doe eyes, complemented with fair skin. Amelia was often called a perfect Aryan princess. For the first time, her looks wouldn't save her from the solitary place. Even so, she wandered down a winding trail, straining to catch the faintest sound of her campmates.

Suddenly, the path abruptly stopped, leaving her teetering on the edge of a cliff. In a terrifying moment, she lost her balance and plummeted down, her screem barely escaping her lips before she crashed down into the icy cold water.

A tingling sensation surged through her legs as panic took over her. Instead of screams, she swallowed mouthfuls of water, while struggling to stay afloat. Desperately, she broke through the water's surface. Her bewildered eyes searched for answers in her new surroundings. She found herself partially submerged in a magnificent lagoon, its crystal clear water cascading from two picturesque waterfalls, from the exact cliff she had fallen from. Lushious greenery surrounded the lagoon, and a formation of boulders made a good sitting spot. And that's when it hit her – a realisation both wondrous, terrifying and shocking. Amelia discovered she now had possessed a mesmerizing ombre blue tail, elegantly swaying beneath the water's shimmering surface.
