It started one summer morning
When i lost my senses
Couldnt feel the sun's heat
Couldnt hear my heart beat
That is when I saw you
Reflecting from your eyes was
My fear, My pain, My loss
The way you held my hand
made me understand
You will keep me safe
From whatever i face
So I let myself fall
I let the hole inside mend
Just a few more stitches
and i would have been whole again
That is when it all changed
The love in your eyes was replaced
with strands of darkness
interwining to make a permanent place
Memories from my past flashed
I couldnt face it all again
So, i left
and i let you turn, never to return
Now, as i sit here
I remember that summer morning
and i realise what i saw in you
was just a reflection of me
You dint break my heart
I stopped myself before you could
Now there's just a crack
In my FROZEN chest
which will never melt
