Zoey just turned 21 and is trying to step out her comfort zone and live a little. Her life changes for the better because of a man with a dark history. Will she find out the fake past or will she fall for his charm and not see the walking red flags.
I woke up it's finally my 21st birthday, I can finally go to the club and get drinks without a fake ID. I get up and stretch, then go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for work.I make my morning coffee and make bacon and eggs for me and Rory I eat some and hurry and rap it up a plate for Rory and put it in the refrigerator and put a note on it. I grab my keys and walk out the apartment and go to the garage and get in my car.I started my car and drive to work I blast my music while driving.

I get a call from my mother to go to her office. I knock on the door and I hear a "Come in". I go in the room and she smiles at me yes mom she has a gift box on her desk.
I ask her is that for me she hands it to me and I open it. The box has a beautiful skin tight silk red dress. Under the dress lied a gorgeous pearl necklace that shimmered in the light. I smiled at the sight of the dress and looked up at my mother.
"Take this, go home, and get ready to have fun tonight with your friends." She said to me sitting down in her chair. I nodded at her and walked out of the office with excitement coursing through me.
At her apartment>>>>
I came home and quickly hopped in the shower. As I got out refreshed and relaxed I got a phone call from my best friend Rory. "Hey Rory, are you ready for tonight?" I ask her putting the phone on speaker. "Of course, I'm coming home now to come and get you. See you in twenty." The call ends and I finish putting on my makeup.

After a while Rory arrived at our apartment and waited for me to finish getting ready. I put on the dress my mom gave me and clipped on the pearl necklace that was under it. As I looked in the mirror all I could think was 'Damn I look good in this'. I opened my bedroom door to see Rory sitting in the couch, she turned her head and by her look I could tell she was shocked at my outfit.
"Zoey, you look amazing. Girl you're giving a shining ruby." Rory took a picture of me and smiled. "I'm so posting this." I couldn't help but laugh at her a enthusiasm. Rory always have been there for me, ever since the first grade. We've been friends forever, she's like a sister to me. "Thanks Rory," I smiled at her. "I do love this dress".

We take a couple pictures of our outfits and post them to our Instagram. We chill for a little and eat left over Chinese food to put something in our stomachs. While we were eating we watched half of my favorite movie twilight. Rory soon ordered us an uber and we left for the club.
As we pulled up the LUX Kimberly was waiting outside for us. Kim has been my friend since first grade too, but after her dad left and her mom remarried her whole personality changed. Like a Karen, slut, and a bitch put together, but I tolerate her. "Finally you guys are here, took you long enough." Kimberly laughed at us. "Sorry," I apologized. "We had to get ourselves together and look good for tonight." She jokingly scoffed.
We walk in the club and order a couple drinks, then Kim walks us over to the VIP section that her shady cousin had got for us. "Hold up girl, this night is about to get so much better." Kim soon snapped her fingers and out behind the curtain came male strippers. The strippers tried dancing on me but I didn't go for it, it didn't feel right. Trying to avoid them from dancing on me I saw a cute guy with dark black hair and hazel eyes from across the dance floor at another VIP booth. I couldn't look away, his eyes had me hooked onto him and him only. One of the strippers slightly hit my shoulder bringing me back from my thoughts, when i came too i saw Kim wildly enjoying herself with one of the men. I nudged Rory a 'follow me' gesture and we went to the bar as quickly as we could.
"Hey bartender, can we get two sex on the beaches?" Rory asked the guy, handing him her card. While he made the drinks Rory and I laughed. "Damn, Kimberly is really enjoying herself with those guys." Rory turned to me and rubbed my shoulder. "Zoey if you wanna leave, we can." I shook my head no and the bartender handed us our drinks. We said "Thank you" and turned to head back to our section. As I turned I hit something hard. My drink had spilled everywhere and the person it spilled on was the hot guy with hazel eyes from before.
"I am so sorry!" I quickly grabbed some napkins and tried whipping off the mess from his suit. The mess wasn't going away, it just spread through the seams and fabric. The guy softly grabbed my hand and stopped me from wiping. "You've done quite enough, Amor." Did he just call me love in Italian!? I questioned to myself. I turned to Rory and quickly back at him as he let go of my hand and walked away towards the steps where the office of the 'big boss' was.
"That was so embarrassing!" I cried out to Rory. "I can't believe I spilled my drink on him, I feel terrible." Rory laughed and patted my back. "You're fine girl, I mean I could never, but its not that bad. Plus I could see the way you were looking at him." I thought to my self she has a point, but still I didn't know the guy and his suit was so nice. "You can't talk okay. I saw the way you were looking at his friend next to him. I think you had a little drool on the side of your lip." I laugh. She blushed and we both started laughing making our way back over to the VIP section.
