apology

Jungkook had already joined the office. He currently stood by the glass window, looking outside. His office in the Parisian headquarters of FlyHigh Tourism was one of the fanciest cabins in the building. But the beauty of the office space or the view it held outside, didn't capture the younger's mind, but what actually did was the thoughts of a certain blue haired boy.

It's been 5 days, since he'd met him. but the last meeting didn't end the way he expected. Kim Taehyung was like a mystery. it was difficult for the younger to decode what went in the elder's mind. though he talked a lot but all that façade, just to shush what his heart really wanted scream. The last meeting was something similar. When Jungkook expressed his observation about the elder, the latter had an unreadable expression, as if he was bewildered inside. But why? Jungkook can't tell. Before he could ask, Taehyung cut short the meeting and left. Since then they haven't talked nor met.

In the last meeting Jungkook was just being honest about his observation while being too careful and considerate about the words he preferred for Tae, but something definitely offended the elder. The younger felt regret, for something, he couldn't surely point out what, but it was something. Maybe the thought that, his words somehow hurt Taehyung. Doesn't matter even if he was too careful with the terms, he still did something wrong. But what ?

Jungkook wouldn't deny that though they just met twice, the blue haired man was able to invade his mind and conquer it. Like for now, he's at the office, he could focus on the coming deals and reports but what's he doing? Thinking. About Kim Taehyung.

Don't get him wrong, Jungkook wanted to visit Taehyung's workplace, de toute beauté, the exquisite restaurant, to get one little glimpse of the jazz performance or the performer in specific. But something stopped him from invading the elder's space. Maybe the elder was offended by something, and didn't wanna see Jungkook's face now, but the younger still wanted to apologize so badly, and maybe just maybe if the Taehyung allowed, be friends again. Only if Jungkook would know, he would swear on his life, that he would never utter those words, ever again. The younger was perplexed between apologizing and giving space to the elder. 

There was a knock on the door and Jungkook's train of thoughts came to a halt. Quickly turning on his professionalism switch. Jimin entered the cabin when he heard 'come in' from inside.

"Mr. Jeon, I have the plans ready for the meeting. Do you want me to include the feedback that Mr. Lupin shared?"

"uh, yeah, that would help in highlighting the future requirements that our customers expect us to fulfill. Please include that, for sure. Also, please send an invite to the tourism professionals that we have in Versailles. I want to share my ideas with them too"

Jimin nodded and entered the direction in his tab. Before leaving he asked, "do you want anything else, Mr. Jeon?"

It was as if the question caught him off guard and he wanted to throw his professionalism out of the window for a moment, and while contemplating, he finally asked, "can I call you hyung?"

This time it was Jimin's turn to be caught off guard, still he nodded in return and asked, "feeling homesick already?"

Jungkook shook his head in denial and added, "It's just, something is bothering me, and I have no one to share it with"

It was all Jimin needed to place his tablet and pen on the glass table, that he gestured to the younger to take the sofa while he too sat beside him. "don't ever say that. Whenever you need to talk, reach out to me. You can even trust me with your secrets", the elder winked at the younger, who giggled in return.

the next hour was spent Jungkook venting out his concerns about Taehyung's response to his words. Jimin like a wonderful listener that he was, heard the younger with patience, even if sometimes he rambled absentmindedly for a few minutes. Jungkook did miss one single but significant detail on purpose though.
