Sunoo |I settled into the seat next to Jungwon and Sunghoon. Jungwon's eyes lit up with excitement as he leaned forward, eager to hear about my conversation with Jay.
"Tell us! What did Jay have to say?" Jungwon asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
I took a deep breath, collecting my thoughts before diving into the details. "Well, guys, you won't believe this. It turns out that Ni-ki and Jay are cousins!"
Jungwon's excitement was palpable as he leaned even closer, his eyes widening. "No way! That bitch and Jay are related? This can't be!"
Sunghoon's brows furrowed in surprise, mirroring my own reaction. "Cousins? I had no idea they were even connected."
I nodded, relieved that they found the revelation as surprising as I did. "Exactly. Jay told me that Ni-ki has always been like this, no matter which school he goes to. Well, that's nothing new, is it?"
Jungwon chimed in, his voice thoughtful. "I didn't expect Jay to have such a stupid cousin. Why did he even approach you? I wish he'd want to talk with me, too."
"Wait a minute, I remember something!" Jungwon historically announced.
"A few days ago, I saw Ni-ki walking home with someone, but I didn't know who.. It must've been Jay!"He told us this, like it was the discovery of the year while Sunghoon and I stared at him with unenthusiastic looks.
"He just walked home with him. What's so special about it?"
I rolled my eyes playfully at Jungwon's overzealous reaction. "Jungwon, you make it sound like witnessing them walking home together is some groundbreaking revelation. They probably just live in the same neighborhood or something."
Sunghoon chimed in, his tone filled with sarcasm. "Yeah, I'm sure they hold hands and skip down the street every day."
Jungwon shot a playful glare at Sunghoon before turning back to me. I chuckled, shaking my head.
"Alright, enough teasing," I said, nudging Jungwon's arm gently. "But seriously, it could just be a coincidence. Let's not jump to conclusions."

After our playful banter, the break came to an end, and we headed back to our classrooms. The afternoon passed by in a blur of classes, and before I knew it, the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day.
I gathered my belongings and tried to find Ni-ki through the crowded hallways. It didn't take long before I found him.
As I approached him, a nervous knot formed in my stomach. His mischievous eyes locked onto mine as he noticed my presence, and a smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.
"Well, well, if it isn't Sunoo," Ni-ki taunted, his voice dripping with amusement. "What brings you here? Finally decided to accept my generous offer?"
I took a deep breath, reminding myself of the decision I had made with the support of my friends. I couldn't let Ni-ki's teasing shake my resolve. "Actually, Ni-ki, I've thought about it, and.. I agree."
Ni-ki's smirk widened, clearly pleased with himself. "Well, well, looks like you've come to your senses. It's about time. But remember, Sunoo, you better be convincing."
I met his gaze, refusing to let his words intimidate me. "Don't worry, Ni-ki. I may surprise you. Just remember, this is all on your terms. You asked for this, so don't expect me to conform to your expectations easily."
His eyes narrowed, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. "We'll see, Sunoo. We'll see. But mark my words, you won't be able to resist my charm for long."
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his arrogance, but I maintained my composure. "We'll see about that, Ni-ki. Just don't get too carried away with your delusions. By the way, I heard about your connection with Jay. It's interesting, to say the least."
He didn't look so despondent after I told him about it. He didn't deny it, but maybe Ni-ki doesn't want people to know about it? But why would he?
"Yeah, what about it? And who told you about that?"
"Who do you think did? Jay, of course. I don't know why, but.. to be honest, it was pretty unexpected to me."
As a response to that, I just got a thoughtful nod, nothing else.
As I turned to leave, Ni-ki's parting words trailed after me. "Oh, and remember, Sunoo, we start tomorrow."
I nodded, not bothering to respond, and walked away, feeling a mix of nerves and determination. I knew the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but with the support of my friends and a newfound resolve, I was ready to face whatever challenges awaited me.

The next day arrived, and I found myself standing outside the school gates, my heart pounding in my chest. Jungwon and Sunghoon had assured me that they would be nearby, ready to provide support if needed.
I took a deep breath, reminding myself that this was just a role I had to play, a means to an end.
As I entered the school, I couldn't help but notice the curious glances and whispers that followed me.
News of my supposed relationship with Ni-ki seemed to have spread like wildfire. It was a strange sensation, knowing that my personal life had become a topic of gossip overnight.
I'm just wondering how everyone knew about it so quickly, honestly. Has Ni-ki already told each of them or what?! Oh, I hope not. I didn't want this to be such a big thing.
I made my way to our designated meeting spot, a quiet corner near the lockers. Jungwon and Sunghoon were already there, their presence comforting amidst the sea of curious onlookers.
Jungwon's eyes sparkled with excitement as he approached me. "Whoa, that has spread almost throughout the whole school!"
Sunghoon was also fascinated. "How could such an information spread so fast?"
"I have no idea but I'm sure, Ni-ki has something to do with it."Suddenly, the person we were talking about, appeared by my side, his arm slung casually around my shoulders.
The eyes of our classmates followed our every move, whispers trailing in our wake. It was a surreal experience, playing a role that felt so far from my own reality.
Ni-ki leaned in, his voice low and filled with a mix of amusement and annoyance. "Remember, Sunoo, It's all part of the plan."
I nodded, trying to hide my discomfort with the situation. "I'll do my best, Ni-ki. Just remember, this is purely for appearances. Don't expect any genuine affection from me."
He chuckled, clearly enjoying the power he held over the situation. "Oh, don't worry, Sunoo. I'm not expecting anything from you. But who knows? Maybe you'll find yourself falling for me after all."
I shot him a skeptical look, refusing to let his teasing get to me. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Ni-ki. We're just playing our parts, remember?"
Ni-ki's grin widened, and he leaned even closer, his breath tickling my ear. "We'll see, Sunoo. We'll see."
"Hey, did you tell anyone about this already?! How can people know about that before I even entered the school?" I whispered-shouted.
According to niki's subsequent look, he had clearly already told someone.
"What's the problem with telling someone? That's what we're supposed to do, aren't we?"Okay, he was right. What's the point of pretending we're together if no one knows about it? I could have figured that out myself.
Just to mention, during our little conversation, the looks from our classmates didn't stop.
Oh, and you really don't want to see Sunghoon's and Jungwon's faces. I guess I have no choice. They'll tease me about it for the next few days, that's for sure.
