Chapter 6-Classmates' Thoughts

Date: Thursday, March 10, 2016,

Drake's POV (in his thoughts):

It's Thursday morning, and I'm at school, as usual, standing in the hallway waiting for my friends to arrive. I'm getting a bit annoyed that Andy has been turning down my requests for a rematch for the past few days. He usually agrees, but this time he said no four times, which is very unlike him. Something's been up with Andy lately. And it's not just that. I've noticed him staring at Liv in class sometimes, which is strange considering everyone knows they're siblings. Why is Andy looking at Liv more? There must be something going on. I ponder this thought.

"I'll wait for my friends to show up and ask them what they think about Andy's odd behavior," I say to myself in a low voice as he decides to text them on his phone.

Mike's POV (in his thoughts):

It's another school day, and I'm heading to the library as usual. I noticed Drake standing alone in the hallway, which is unusual since he's usually playing basketball with Andy. This is the fourth time I've seen Drake by himself instead of playing basketball with Andy. Speaking of Andy, he's been acting very differently lately, especially since he's been getting better grades than me on exams. It's not like him to excel academically.

"Ughhhhh," I groan. "Lately, Andy's been outperforming me, and while I'm happy he's trying to improve, it's just not like him. He's always been the type to procrastinate on his work," I said to myself as I rubbed my head and continued walking towards the library.

As I reminded myself that Andy did come to study sessions with us since Liv and I were surprised to see Andy already at the library before us since it is odd since he always ditches us to play basketball," I said to myself.

"I wonder why he's changed so drastically. It's not just that—he's been spending more time with Liv, which is odd, but they're siblings. And he's been turning down Drake's requests for a rematch four times now, which is really strange because Andy usually loves to compete against Drake and win, "I thought to myself as I let out a sigh.

"Well, something is definitely going on, and I'm going to find out, even if it means talking to Andy directly. Maybe?" I resolve, as I walk into the library.

Charlie's POV (in her thoughts):

Today was just another school day, but these past few days have been different. I had to take the subway to school because my bike's wheels were out of air. Unlike Mike and Drake, nobody knows about my family's wealth. On another note, I recently found out that I have a half-brother, my mom's son. I only met my mom when I was a baby, so I don't remember much about her, but my dad and stepmom told me I'll meet them soon.

Another peculiar thing is that Drake hasn't been playing basketball as he usually does. He's usually always with Andy on the court. Speaking of Andy, his behavior has been strange this week. He's been acting differently, not playing basketball with Drake as much, and completing his assignments and projects on time. He's even been getting good grades on exams, which surprised Rajat and Mike, but they don't seem too happy about it. Andy's behavior with Liv has also been odd. Liv told me that Andy wants to spend more time with her, which seems like she is a distraction to him.

Despite seeing Andy as a brother and a good friend in school, even Liv and Mike are concerned about his new behavior. I genuinely hope Andy is okay overall, even if his behavior has drastically changed.

Carla's POV (in her thoughts):

These past few days have been very different. I noticed that Drake has been standing in the hallways during school days instead of playing basketball, and there wasn't a Saturday basketball match on March 4th, which is also strange. Even Andy, who usually plays with Drake all the time, has been behaving differently lately. He didn't even play basketball with Drake today. I've noticed he's been hanging out with Liv more, and it's been bothering me because he canceled our plans last Sunday to hang out with her. I don't know why I feel upset, annoyed, or maybe even jealous about it. I do know that Andy and Liv are siblings, but he only calls her by her name. I overheard Drake and Mike saying that Andy has been staring at Liv in class, which feels odd, and for some reason, it doesn't sit well with me. I've also noticed that he's been more focused on his assignments and exams lately, which is strange because he usually forgets or doesn't study much. He's been getting As or A+ on his assignments and exams, which is surprising for everyone in our class, including me. Liv and Mike seem worried about Andy too. Liv told Charlie and me about how much Andy has changed in these past six days. I just hope Andy is actually okay.
