CHAPTER I
"FINALLY"Finally{sight}, finally after several months of no rain, three months of harsh harmattan and intense dry season, [sighs] so u can't really blame me if i prefer the raining season over the rest, the feeling it brings during it first fall, the smell of rain water on the soil, the breezy refreshing wind that just takes your mind and put you in the clouds, but it was one of this breezy day I saw him, the famous new comers to the area.
Sitting outside my house enjoying the moment I saw the famous vic, Tosin was all about him ever since I came back from school, as we just finished writing the O'level exams popularly known as Waec. Finally I get to see and rate him for myself because I actually think Tosin does exaggerate a lil bit whenever she talks about the all handsome Vic. But seeing him perhaps with his little siblings with the resemblance there all share, the one by his left looks more like Vic, the jaw line, skin complexion, eyes, lips, the one by the right probably the last born looks like the younger version of Vic and by his far right is his sister who share the resemblance but have a dark skin and honestly looks the cutest. Don't get me wrong, it ain't a crush, how do I know? is because I know.VIC: Are you okay? Hello...are you ok?
ISABELLA: uhh!? Yeah am, am okDid I just space out? Am sure it isn't because of Vic, maybe I was lost in thoughts about the siblings stuff, maybe it is because I am the only child, or was it.......
PETER: Isa........
Isabella: yes dad.. See u later vic [smile]
Vic: see you....around...I guess [smile]Peter: so have you meet the newcomers
Isabella: yah..I did, today actually when you called me
Peter: owk....you should have told me you know
Dora: told you what exactly hun?
Peter: that she was with a boy
Isabella: okay I see where your going with this, we just said hi from miles apart dad
Peter: Well did I say you were close[ttish] guilty! guilt!! guilt!!!
Dora: shuuu Isa don't entertain your pops taunts
Isabella: aiit mom...
Peter and Dora:[chatting spontaneously]Funny huh, but these conversations with my parents about stuff like this aren't weird or awkward at all, at least to me. Ever since I could remember my parents are as liberal as the western parents are, even a lil bit more. Like on my sixteenth birthday when my pops was making a toast, in his exact words said " whoever has eyes on my daughter should tell me now or forever hold your peace " and gave a a free one in one class about sex education. Sometimes I just wonder if I have a brother as my dad or a sister as my mom, either way I really love them that way, communication and understanding between us is just out of this world, at least that's what Suzzy says.
Dora: Isa...are you ok?
Isabella: huh, yeah am ok, am fine
Dora: you were spaced out for a moment there, is something bordering you?
Isabella: no mom and 100% KOK, guess i'm just a lil tired or something, thanks mom the food was delicious like always
Peter: So you're saying there's no progress in your mom's cooking huh?
Isabella: tist....dad that's not what I mean, and you know that
Dora: Isa...he's just jealous his cooking is nowhere near mine, you just go to your room and rest ok
Isa: yeah...mom
Isa: Mom, dad, have you guys ever considered adopting a child?Well that's not something you normally hear a kid asking their parents
Peter: Well, frankly speaking the thought did cross out mind but we never really got a reason to, you alone are more than enough for us.
Dora: yes baby, even if it's just you we are still satisfied as parents and love you fully dear, no need to have more kids when I and your father already have all we want, and that's you.
