In this universe, they were each other's midnight rain. One wanted it comfortable, one wanted the pain.

3RD PERSON’s.

Everything is too loud for Nayeon tonight.

The ambience of the hall, the background music, the clinking of champagne glasses, the host’s casual and inside jokes, and yet the loudest for Nayeon was her laugh and voice.

How could someone she has not seen nor heard of for years echoed the loudest?

She brushed it off to Seungcheol, who’s been eyeing his first love.

“Idiot. Pour me a glass and stop eyeing Jeonghan! We had a deal.” Nayeon whispered to him.

“Do we look straight? Oh god. I swear presenting us dating to our parents and them is a bad, nasty idea.” Seungcheol whispered back.

“This is better for us right at the moment.” Nayeon replied as she sipped her 7th glass of Dom Perignon. Seungcheol then snatched the glass and drank the rest of it.

While they were bickering and acting like a couple as natural as they could, Y/n was caught at the sight of Nayeon smiling and laughing her ass off.

It was all she could see. She smiled faintly but vanished over the sight of Seungcheol—who’s the one making Nayeon laugh.

It was Y/n and it should have been her until now.

She escorted Jeonghan away from the hall and went outside for air. Jeonghan knew what was wrong.

“Did you see her?” He asked.

“She looks stunning at that dress, Hannie.” Y/n said as she eyed the night view outside the hall.

“And he looks hot as ever with that fit.” Jeonghan replied as he sighed.

“Looks like our greatest loves are each other’s greatest love.” Y/n said.

“We got married too, Y/n.” Jeonghan replied and chuckled.

“We got married because of the money, girlie!” Y/n semi-shouted and laughed.

“And we don’t even regret being each other’s ATM Machine, damn it!” Jeonghan said and laughed with her.

It was two years ago when Y/n and Jeonghan got married for Jeonghan’s inheritance from his grandfather. Two years of his grandfather’s eyes following them always, making sure their relationship is true.
