The journey to Brise was long and cold. The four of them hadn't had any time to pack -obviously - and the journey was spent with rain pouring and the four shivering however not one dare complain. When they finally saw the sign that said 'Brise' the group all smiled for the first time in hours.
Some if was strange though, Autumn and Hope both somewhat knew the town it had a few changed but posters were stuck everywhere with Autumn, Jack and James faces on them saying 'Rebels wanted'. Autumn put on her helmet as did Jack and James as not to be spotted
The light of the tavern was like seeing heaven Hope parked her broom and the trio put there horses in the barn round the back. They walked into the tavern. It was loud and had a strong smell of whiskey and fags. "two rooms with single beds please" Hope said
"Money please" the man behind the counter said
"i'm here on behalf of Daniel" she whispered
"ah i see" the man said clearly understanding "upstairs to the right two room, i'll get you a drink". Hope, Jack, James and Autumn walked up the stairs and put there belongings in there rooms.
"shall we change?" asked Hope
"certainly, we've been in these clothes all day" Autumn said. Hope clicked her fingers and changed into a black dress with a stared top underneath. Autumn searched in her bag for clothes and all she found was that yellow dress.
"you know what i don't need to change" Autumn said
"why?" Hope said. Autumn simply pulled out the yellow dress, Hope grinned.
"no, no not gonna happen" Autumn said
"fine, fine" Hope said "picture an outfit". Autumn pictured a black vest with black trousers and a corset all topped off with a lovely velvet hooded cape. Autumn opened her eyes and looked down. The outfit - exactly as she imagined it - was what she saw before her.
Autumn and Hope walked down the stairs. Jack and James where already sat at the bar sipping whiskey and talking to siren women.
"sorry" Hope said "but these two are kinda busy right now but come back any other time" Hope said in her most respectful voice. The siren women hissed at Hope
"oi, piss off" Autumn said less kindly than Hope realising these women wouldn't move otherwise. The sirens went off the go flirt with other solider's who where younger and better looking, Hope could tell Jack and James were a bit annoyed
"sorry i wouldn't have but we have other things to focus on right now" Hope said
"i know but it's not fair you two have lovers but were so single" Jack moaned
"excuse me in what world do i have a girlfriend or boyfriend" Autumn asked confused
"that Laura, Louisa girl" James said
"her name is Lara and she left me you idiot" Autumn said a but annoyed "also how do you know".
"Your walls are paper thin"
"Of course they are" Autumn sighed
Autumn pulled out the locket from her under her vest. Now Hope show me the chapter about what happened to the other locket. Hope scanned the book.
"ah here, the boys lover also had a locket in the form of a padlock this showed their undying love for one another, the lockets whereabouts is currently unknown but is known to be in the hands of downtown dealer known as the rebel" Hope read
"great so some person called the rebel has this locket and could be anywhere" Autumn said annoyed
"sorry i couldn't help but overhearing the name the rebel" said the man coming over to the bar
"yes, were kinda looking for them" Jack said hopelessly
"oh right well she's over there i can get her for you if you want" he said
"really? oh great thank you so much" Autumn said. Autumn sipped her whiskey trying to appear tough. The man walked over to a girl in red cloak in the corner who was drinking mead she walked up to Autumn.
"yes what do you want?" she asked bluntly
"oh, we heard your in possession of a locket, a padlock locket?" asked Hope
"yes i am" the girl said pulling out a locket from under her cloak "my centre piece, looking for the other half now". Autumn reached out for it
"oi, no you don't get it, if you want it beat me in an arm wrestle" she challenged
"but she has the other one the key" Hope said
"and why shouldn't I take it?" the girl asked
"Because we need them for-" Jack began
"no it's fine, i'll fight you" Autumn said.
Jack, James and Hope all got up taking there whiskey and Hope's cloudy lemonade with them. Autumn lay her arm on the table and the girl did the same.
"three, two, one go" said James. Autumn began to win but then the girl started to talking to her
"so where do you get that locket? your pretty boyfriend get it for you?" she asked
"N-no" Autumn said starting to struggle
"a gift from daddy for your birthday" she mocked
"no, what does it matter" Autumn said her arm inches away from the bar
"where , did , you , get that locket" she pushed
"it was from a friend" Autumn said trying desperately to push back
"ah i see, you got a boyfriend then?" she asked
"no" Autumn said still losing
"ever had a boyfriend" she continued
"not really" Autumn said her arm starting to hurt
"you into girls then" she asked still not struggling at all
"yes but boys too" Autumn struggled
"ah, so do you love your girlfriend" she said mocking Autumn
"i did love her okay, just shut up!" Autumn yelled losing the fight. Autumn sat back down at the bar resisting the urge to punch the rebel.
"well see you around, sorry you girlfriend left" the rebel said laughing
"oh just stop will you, you may be the person who gets every girl and boy but i'm not okay so just stop" Autumn said feeling an anger burning inside
"it's not news to me" the rebel mocked. The rebel began to walk off and waved goodbye to Autumn still mocking her. Autumn felt the fire burn so hot ,she ran up to the girl she picked up her sword she cut the ribbon tying the cloak together with one swift swoop.
The cloak fell to the ground and Autumn was shocked at who she saw, the last few days had already been insane too many people who she hadn't seen in years had come back into her life but she hadn't expected to find her in a bar under the name the rebel?
Her hair was exactly as Autumn remembered it, her green eyes and cool style hadn't changed a bit. Her smile was still as cute as remembered it and her smell was still Autumn's favourite.Autumn hated how much she still loved her, how much she still loved Lara.
