[smut]
Lan Huan sighs as he completed this letter, sealing it in its envelope and resting his brush down. Yesterday he spent all day on the Cloud Recesses' accounts and night hunt reports, and now, today, most of his day had been taken up in responding to letters from different Sect Leaders. He moves on to the next – and final – letter in the stack, and his heart skips a beat when he sees the familiar nine-petaled lotus seal, he sees it's Jiang Wanyin's personal seal.
He's careful in opening the letter, not knowing if it's personal or for sect-related matters. Before he could read the letter, a disciple knocks, and Lan Huan tells them to enter.
"Zongzhu, more letters have come in for you," the disciple says, resting a new stack of papers on Lan Huan's desk, and Lan Huan can't help but sigh again.
"Thank you for bringing them to me, you may leave," Lan Huan responds, sending the disciple off, he stares forlornly at the letters. Sigh.
If there was one thing he didn't miss when he was in seclusion, it was this – paperwork. It's long and tedious, and sometimes the requests are outright ridiculous. He turns his attention back to Jiang Wanyin's letter, and it's an invitation, to a summer festival in Yunmeng, and Lan Huan instantly lights up, the annoyance from today draining away, being replaced with a gentle warmness. It has been far too long since he and Jiang Wanyin had met in person, with their respective sects keeping them entirely occupied, without any moment to spare. The last time Lan Huan had seen Jiang Wanyin, it had been before the new year, Lan Huan had paid a visit to Lotus Pier for a week.
Lan Huan sighs again, moving to write a response to Jiang Wanyin, confirming that he will be attending the festival next month, and he is looking forward to seeing Jiang Wanyin again, and well, some other details that should only be seen by Jiang Wanyin eyes.
Lan Huan misses Jiang Wanyin terribly, he thinks back to their last night together, how they tumbled into bed, pressed close together, limbs tangling as they traded messy kisses. Lan Huan took his time that night, they both knew this would be their last night for a while before they must go back to their duties, so Lan Huan made sure to commit every little sound Jiang Wanyin made to memory, the long lines of his body, how Jiang Wanyin felt around him, how he made Jiang Wanyin fall apart one last time. He remembers how sweetly Jiang Wanyin responded to his words, you're so good for me, Wanyin, you feel so good, I love you, I love you, and Jiang Wanyin would come undone with just his words, watching as euphoria overtook his face, jaw slack as he repeated Lan Huan's name like a mantra and the pleasant sting as Jiang Wanyin dragged his nails down Lan Huan's back. Oh, Lan Huan misses Jiang Wanyin so, so much.
A soft knock pulls Lan Huan from his musings, he blinks, feeling warm all over, and wills himself to calm down. Another soft knock and Lan Huan call for whoever to come in. Purple immediately floods his vision, and Lan Huan thinks he must be hallucinating. Then, a familiar voice says,
"Zewu-jun, this one wishes for an audience."
There Jiang Wanyin stands, leaning against the doorframe of Lan Huan's study, arms crossed with a subtle smile gracing his lips. Quicker than lightning, Lan Huan is up, moving in large strides over to Jiang Wanyin.
"Wanyin?" he breathes, still believing that this is possibly an illusion, a manifestation of his longing. "Is this real? Why didn't you tell me you'd be visiting?"
But this is very real, Jiang Wanyin is warm under Lan Huan's palm as he allowed Lan Huan to pull him in by the waist, Lan Huan presses a quick kiss to Jiang Wanyin's lips. Jiang Wanyin flushes, a soft pink colouring his cheeks, even after so much time, Jiang Wanyin flusters easily at Lan Huan's affection.
