To What Makes Us Weak

To what makes us weak,

To our fears that cloud our minds,

Haunting and spreading through our thoughts,

A plague that just won't go away.

To what makes us weak,

To our ailments-physical and mental,

Keeping us always behind everyone else,

Discouraging and weighing until we can only pray.

To what make us weak,

To our vices, pressing us, caressing us,

A comfort yet a curse,

We toil and try to fight it day by day.

To what makes us weak,

To our insecurities, blurring the world,

Digging to the bottom of our souls

To what we hate most about ourselves,

Yet no one else can see;

To what makes us weak,

To our turbulent, turning emotions, an ever brewing storm,

We try explaining the mess inside,

But they only say, 'Some day it'll be as calm as can be.'

To what makes us weak,

To the connections we've built-to those we love,

But we keep on shutting them out

Because we know someday goodbyes will have to be said!

To what makes us weak,

To what makes us feel;

'No one is perfect,' but do you know what else?

'We're all trying our best and that's what matters!'

To what makes us weak,

Thank you for making us human.

We shall overcome!

We shall rise up!

We shall fight and fight and keep on fighting!

And we will 'Lift others as we climb!'

And we will do it today and tomorrow and all the days after that!

A human will do what ever they set their mind to.
