My name is Serenity. I think it's a French word meaning peace but I could be wrong about the French part.
My mom wanted to name me Seren pronounced Saren but my dad did like that because of something called Saren gas that the U.S used to kill a bunch of people even though they were going to spell it differently. So they decided to name me Serenity and call me Seren.
Apparently the name Serenity is really easy to make nicknames out of. For the first 3 years of my life my parents called me Monkey but stoped that when I started to go to school.
When my sister was 2 she ran around the house saying "E" for two days straight and we could not figure out what she was saying for the life of us. Until one day my mom saw her chasing me around the house saying "E" so we figured out that for a two year old the word Serenity was really hard to say. So she just shortened it to E and she still calls me this 8 years later.
Another nickname I was given is Spaghetti. I don't really know how that happened i was in band one day and my friend Saturn came to me and said "your name is Spaghetti now. Hi Spaghetti, bye Spaghetti" and walked away. Now all my friends call me that and often forget that that's not my actually name.
Fun fact if any of my family members call me Serenity I will yell at them saying "WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME". I don't know why it just sounds really weird to my ears.
