meeting people

I walked out the room and decided to go outide and look around. As I was going down the stairs I bumped into the girl, with the sunglasses, I saw earlier. She stopped and glared at me.

"What the hell are you doing? Don't touch me bitch!" Before I could think she pushed me down on the stairs and I scrapped my arm on the step. "Maybe if you looked where you were going you wouldn't have bumped into me. So you're the new girl?" She asked with a disgusted look.

"Ew." amber spat on the step next to my arm. I looked up and saw Riley running up the steps two at a time.

"What the hell do you think you're doing kimberly ?" He shouted in her face. He held out his hand and helped me up. I winced as I felt a stinging sensation in my arm and saw blood dripping from my elbow. Riley saw this too and turned to face the other girls.

"You better watch out. Have you actually got anything better to do than harass my girlfriend." He pushed pass them, holding my hand, and took down the steps. We walked across the school grounds and he asked me if I was okay and I just nodded. He took me towards a tree, a shelter from the blazing sun, where all his friends were.

I stood there awkwardly while they were all talking and some of the boys looked up and down at me. I began to feel uncomfortable so I told Riley I was going inside because it was too hot. He agreed and, unfortunately, let his hand fall to his side from my waist. I walked back up the staircase and as I walked through the double glass doors I saw two staircases; one on the left and one the right side. Both staircases rounded up to a platform overlooking the entrance hall and the platform also lead to the first floor.

I went down the ground floor corridor and rounded the corner to the canteen. The canteen was very open. It had a 20 ft wall with large windows from the floor to the ceiling which let in the warm sunlight. I saw my friends, wait, can I call them friends? I only just met them but they seemed nice. They were sitting on one of the tables near the windows and Katie waved and yelled at me, "Hey! Come over here!"

I walked over to the table, completely forgetting about my arm. "What did you do to your arm?" Ruby asked shocked.

"Oh, it's nothing." I said nervously.

"Yes it is something," boomed Katie.

"Tell us. Please." lexi pleaded.

i gave in it was kimberly "What the hell did that cow do to you!" Shouted Ruby. Some people turned their heads towards us.

"She shouted at me because I bumped into her and then she pushed me on the stairs." My voice started to shake. Oh for God's sake Mackenzie. This is nothing to cry about.

"I'll have a word with her," Lexi said as she stood up. Oh God, now I've started something.

"No! It's fine." I said.

"I'll take you to medical," Stacey said as she took my arm and took me out of the canteen.

We walked back to where the glass doors were but turned right where there were a couple of doors. Stacey knocked on the polished mahogany door that said medical in gold writing. Very business like.

From behind the door I heard a high-pitched voice. "Come in."

I stepped in to the blue room that smelt like a hospital, there were posters about parts of your body at the end of the room and there was a lady sitting at a desk by the window, she had shoulder length brown hair and green eyes, she had a nurse uniform on.

She looked up from what she was doing on the computer, and said "Yes dear, how can I help you?" I showed her my arm and she looked down at it, her eyes widened "That's a big cut!" She quickly got up and went to the cupboard,out of the cupboard she pulled out a first aid box and got a bandage out with a wet cloth she wiped up the blood and carefully wrapped the bandage round my arm.

She asked me what my name was, "Mackenzie," I answered.

She typed something onto her computer and then said "You may leave now."

I looked at Stacey and she looked at me , she took me out the room and as we stepped out all the boys had come in from outside, they were all going to their rooms. As they walked passed I looked over at Riley and he gave me a little smile, we walked past the glass doors and back into the canteen, the rest of the girls were not there so we decided to go back up to our room.

When we got up there they were in the room listening to music, and Lexi was picking out an outfit in the right corner of the room there was a big wardrobe, and it had two mirrors on the doors from what I could see it was full with clothes,there was a big window at the back of the room, and the walls were painted a pale lilac.

Suddenly I heard my phone ring "Oh, where the hell is my phone?" I questioned myself before I ran into the room and threw my clothes everywhere trying to find it, I climbed under my bed and saw my phone, I reached under and answered it "Hello?" I looked around, everyone was just staring at me, then they all started laughing I heard a deep man's voice from down the phone, I looked down at the caller ID and it said 'Riley' "Where are you?" he questioned.

"I'm in my room," I said, he then told me to go down to his room, so I hung up the phone and walked out the room, "I'll be right back guys." I hollered as I walked out.

I wondered down the corridor and struggled to find his room I was down to the last two rooms, in one there was a girl sitting in there i thought it was nomall but then i looked again and she had , cling film on her head and then I looked in the other one, and there was Riley sitting there on his bed waiting for me.
