Olive POV
I grunt as I try rolling away from the offending wet nose and stinky kibble breath. Unfortunately for me there is no escape as there's also another wet nose waiting for me as I keep my eyes scrunched shut. As I bop the nose to turn off the doggy alarm system my actual alarm goes off signalling 5:30am. This time as I swing my arm out to turn the alarm off it's held in a long soft snout as it is dropped right on my face.... effectively scaring the bejesus out of me. I blink my eyes heavily as I stare blearily ahead. Just sitting there listening to my alarm quack at me for about 5 minutes...
"QUACK QUACK QUCK QUACK" I reach for my phone handed nicely to me this time by the doofus who thought it was a good idea to drop it on my face and give me another black eye with the hard case. Turning off the alarm I get up to let the dogs in the garden whilst I make tea and their breakfasts.
As I start walking down the stairs, I hear a small bark from the corner of my room.
"Crap the puppy..." I walk back into my room just as in the corner I hear. Garden.
"OUTSIDE" In my voice followed by soft whimpering and the scrabble of paws. I apparently wasn't moving fast enough so I heard. "NOW, PLEASE"
Laughing I lift the crate cover bending down to let the ball of fluff out.
"Come on then rascals let's go outside. Then have breakfast and then I need to shower and get ready for work." Carrying the fluff as I talk to them, whilst walking to the garden. I open the back door and let little Dusk, Alfred and Elsie in the garden. Gently placing Dusk on the floor to tootle outside with the big dogs.
As I walk to the kettle, I turn on the smart speaker as I walk past.
"Computer play morning music on Spotify."
"Playing your morning music playlist on Spotify." I sway as I grab my light blue piglet mug, I place a decaf tea bag and two sugars in the mug. I flick on the kettle. Grabbing the two big dog bowls and the small dog bowl, I walk over to the 3 bags of kibble. In Dusk's mint green bowl I place a ¼ cup of small puppy kibble with a raw egg and a small duck foot with her supplements to help her grow healthy. In Alfreds orange slow feeder bowl I add 2 cups of medium working dog kibble with 1 raw egg with the shell and a duck head and foot. In Elsie's purple bowl I place a cup of mother and baby kibble, with her maternity supplements as well as a couple of sprats and coconut oil. I cover all three in some chicken broth. Letting them sit for 10 minutes.
Hearing the kettle flick off I poke my head out the door to check on the fluffs who are already sitting waiting at the door ready to come in. I pour the water in my tea stir it and add a small amount of milk. I stir the tea bag and take the bag out straining it. I breathe in the beautiful smell of strong sugary tea as I let the dogs in after asking Alfred if they all had peed and pooped. Giving them all a pat on the head and scooping up Dusk for a cuddle. I walk over to the fridge and get the milk back out for my scrambled eggs. My timer for the dog's food went off.
"Computer stop" putting Dusk on the floor I grab all three bowls, walk over to Alfreds bed. "Alfred come bed."
The show off that he is Alfred in all his blue merle glory comes running over does a couple of spins and tricks then lays on his bed waiting.
"Bloody show off good boy. Stay." Walking over to Elsie who is already on her bed waiting for her breakfast. Bending down to give her a pat. "Good girl. Dusk lets go to bed..."
