Currently, the game is 0-0 with the second half just staring.

Gavi's shot went just wide of the net in the first half.

I watched the game with anticipation with Gavi's parents and sister, Aurora.

The game ended up still being 0-0. So the ref added extra time.

Which the extra time ended up turning into penalties.

Everyone watched anxiously as the players began walking up and placing the soccer ball.

It was now Spain's turn and if Carvajal can get the ball past Croatia's goalie, they win.

Carvajal runs to the ball and kicks it, the ball goes to the back of the net.

All of Spain's supporters beging cheering loudly, meanwhile Croatia's fans stand their in disbelief.

Myself and Gavi's family find our way down to the pitch to celebrate with him.

Our gazes meet and I run to him. He places his hands on my waist and passionately kisses me.

"Good job amor!! I'm so proud of you!" I say not holding back my excitement.

He gives the biggest smile and goes over to his family.

I watch as they all give him love and show their support.

My heart warms as I realize that we are both so lucky.

To not only have each other, but family and friends that will always be there.

I noticed that they are about to take a family picture. "I'll take it!" I say with a smile on my face.

Gavi's father hands me his phone and I proceed to take multiple photos.

The Gavira's motion for me to come into the picture. So I hand off the phone to one of the players and quickly hurry to get with them.

I stand next to Aurora and she puts her hand on my back.

The two of us girls proceed to get a couple pictures of just us.

And of course some pictures of me and Gavi together.

We part ways when Gavi begins to go back to the locker room so they can head back to Spain, where they will begin to really celebrate.

Since I wasn't the photographer for this game, I fly back home by myself.

Although Gavi insisted multiple times that I come with him, I let him have his moment with the rest of the team.

We arrived back in Spain. I first stopped back at my apartment so I can get changed and feel refreshed after a long day.

I hop in the shower and wash my body. Once I get out, I put on a new jersey of Gavi's and some jeans.

I touch up my hair and makeup and grab the things I need.

The next thing you know, I'm off to the celebration.

The players are on stage all very excited, as well as the fans watching.

Players take their turns and talk into the microphone. Thanking the audience for their support and how much this means to them.

Gavi began to be pushed into speaking. I could clearly tell he was uncomfortable with it.

As he began talking, people began booing him, some yelling Hala Madrid.

I noticed his eyes began to get glossy and he was upset. Players on the stage seemed upset as well. Some even signaled for them to calm down.

That's what rivalry can do to people. Even when you end up being teammates for a game then go back to performing against each other with you're club team.

Gavi proceed to thank everyone and how it's an honor to be able to play for Spain's national team.

The celebrating continued, and eventually everyone began to head back home.

I met up with Gavi. "You're speech was so good." I tell him.

He sighs, "Thank you."

We begin walking to the car. Pablo gets in the driver's seat and I in the passenger.

The car ride home was silent. I finally decide to speak up. "Are you okay?...you know.. after the crowd."

"I'm fine." He says sternly.

I nod and proceed to look out the window the rest of the ride home.

Once we pull up to my apartment, I open the door and shut it, Gavi does the same.

I unlock the door and proceed to walk inside. "Anna wait." Gavi says.

I turn my head and he gives me a tight hug. His shoulders begin moving up and down.

"Gav what's wrong?" I ask softly as I close the door.

"They booed me.." He says gently.

I cup his face and gently wipe away some of the tears that left his eyes.

My heart breaks seeing him go from happy to sad. "I'm so sorry amor. You did amazing. Don't listen to the Madrid fans. They're just jealous that we crushed them this season."

Pablo slightly laughs as he goes in for another hug. "Thank you, Anna. I love you so much."

"I love you too."
