A new life

I have heard many stories about this world earth and who once controlled it and how the war between earth and homeworld had caused many gems to be shattered and forgotten.
Many gems don't know about me because I was the creation of white diamond, she never let me leave the palace or interact with other gems. I never knew the reason why she did what she did, but I never questioned her. Though yellow and blue's pearls have told me it's because I am the only male gem to ever be created.
That was the past though, and this is now the future. When I saw the announcement about how the universe is at peace and no gem of any kind will be controlled, I was finally free and able to leave the palace, but I didn't have any idea where to go. It was till I saw the hero who made peace to the universe, Steven Universe.
"Gems of any kind are welcome to make a new life here on earth in Little Homeworld, it's a place to find a new you and to get to know how humans live and how the world works, so don't be shy and come down to Little Homeworld!" Once I found where I wanted to go see other gems and humans I couldn't hold my excitement. I ran out of white diamond's room and rushed toward where her throne was.
White diamond looked at me with confusion, what was I supposed to say to her? Was she going to tell me I couldn't leave the palace? I rubbed my arm and started to talk to white.
"My diamond, I have heard about how gems are able to leave Homeworld and make a better life for themselves, so I was wondering if I can go to earth to see if I can make myself a new life down at Little Homeworld?" I waited for white to give me an answer. She then giggled and picked me up.
" Oh my little gem you are allowed to do whatever you would like to do, you can make your own decisions for now on." I looked at her with excitement and couldn't contain my feelings I then started to cheer. I then notice white looking at me and smiling, I got a little embarrassed. White then put me down and showed me the warp. " You can go and use the warp to go to earth and enjoy your new life" said white. I smiled at her and started to walk towards the warp,but I then stopped and turned around and hugged white. " Thank you so much my diamond" I said.
I then got on to the warp and it activated. The power of the warp was so strong it felt like I was going to be ripped apart, I closed my eyes and prepared for impact. After a few seconds I felt solid ground I slowly opened my eyes and saw the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. I started to explore the area, there were tall buildings and there gems learning about human culture. I was so amazed of what was going on I wasn't watching where I was going and I bumped into a gem and fell.
"Oh my gosh! Are you ok? I didn't see you there." I looked up and see an amethyst. She reached out her hand and I grabbed it. She then pulls me up onto my feet. " Sorry again I didn't see you , are you new here?" She asked. I didn't know what to say because the amethyst I saw from white diamond's screen they were always mean and pushing, but this one was different.
" Um..yeah I'm kinda new here, I never really saw other worlds so I don't know where to start." I said kind of embarrassed when telling the amethyst that I never left Homeworld before. She seemed nice and actually wanting to help me. " Well if need somewhere to start I could take you to the crystal gems and they could try to figure out what you want to do." I was going to meet the crystal gems in person. I agreed with the amethyst and followed her so where the crystal gems were.
The walk was far but so worth the wait. What was I suppose to say to them? and will they be able to help me find out what I wanted to do? I was then pulled from my thoughts by the amethyst, " Hey it's ok, you don't need to worry they are really nice and they will definitely help you so don't freak out." I took a deep breath and started to walk towards the crystal gems what seemed to be their palace.
Once I was about to knock the door, it was opened by this tall gem with a interesting hairstyle to looked familiar to a ruby's hairstyle, but of course I didn't question it.
"How can I help you?" Said the gem. I was a bit nervous to even talk to her.
"Um... Are you by any chance part of the crystal gems?" I asked while holding onto my arm. The gem then smiled at me and giggled. I didn't see what was funny, then a blush showed on my face. " Yes I am part of the crystal gems, would you like to come inside?" Asked the gem. I nodded and walked inside the building. It had interesting decorations and interesting furniture. The gem then showed me where I can sit, as I sat I noticed that they had a warp in the building, I wondered where they go with that warp. " Just sit tight, we are going to have to wait for the others to come back, but don't worry they won't take too long." I just nodded and just waited for the other crystal gems to come back.
I started to think what kind of questions I could ask the crystal gems, but then I noticed that the gem that let me inside was staring at me. I couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable. I tried ignoring the stares coming from the gem and focus on the questions I wanted to ask for later. I then started to realize that there was a painting of the famous rose quartz also know as pink diamond on the wall. I kind of have some memories of seeing her in the palace before she left.
The one memory I won't forget is the time when white almost shattered me because some gems saw me walking around Homeworld. I tired to reason with white that I needed to be around other gems, but of course the diamonds back then were a lot more destructive then they are now, but when white was almost gonna shatter me, pink opened the door to whites room and told white that the reason I was out walking around Homeworld was because she gave me the order to get her something and that I was just following the order of my diamond. Though that was a lie White believed it and told me that if I was to leave the palace again next time she will guarantee to shatter me without hesitation.
The memory gave me chills thinking about how I could've been shattered if it wasn't for pink diamond saving me. Then the sound of the warp snapped me out of my day dream. I then saw a pearl and an amethyst. I was amazed of how they looked and how the pearl walked off the warp and stand next to the gem that let me inside. Then the amethyst walked off the warp and toward the pearl and other gem.
" Garnet, Steven will be a little late because he had to help clean up Greg's van." My eyes widen when I heard the name Steven, was the pearl talking about The Steven Universe?
" Excuse me for interrupting but do you mean Steven Universe?" The pearl then turned to look at me and was surprised as if she didn't see me when she walked out off the warp.
"Um Garnet who is this and why are they in our house?"
" Don't worry pearl they are just new and they need help to how to start their new life" How did she know that? I didn't say anything to her.
"Oh I see, well we do have to wait for Steven because he is more better at getting gems started with their new life, so we will wait for him." The pearl then looked at me and gave a sweet smile. I smiled back, but I was still stuck on how, and who I know now is named Garnet, knew I was trying to start a new life when I didn't say anything to her. I was going to ask Garnet how she knew what I was here for, but I was interrupt by the amethyst sitting a stool laughing really loud.
" Oh my gosh, guys look what Steven sent me! It's hilarious" the amethyst then showed the others something on a device I wasn't familiar with. After the pearl looked at the the device she covered her mouth and gasped. The Garnet didn't show any emotion toward the device. " Amethyst!, How is that funny Steven could be hurt, we should probably go check on him." The pearl was about to go out the door but she was stopped by the Garnet. In a calm voice the Garnet said " Pearl you don't need to worry Steven is ok and plus he going to walk through the door any minute now." After the Garnet said the the door was slammed opened by Steven.
Steven then walked inside and walked towards me and sat next to me. I guess he didn't notice me yet. Steven then turned his head and looked up at me. For some reason I pictured him taller. He then got up and apologized to me for not noticing me.
" I am so sorry for taking so long I was a bit busy but what brings you here to the Crystal Gems headquarters?" I kinda blushed at how cute Steven really was, but I needed to focus and tell him why I am here.
" Wait haven't you guys noticed that the dude is a gem and he isn't a girl?" The amethyst looked at me and then looked at the others. They then realized that Amethyst was right.
"Yeah you are right Amethyst, I didn't notice till you mentioned it, but I haven't seen any male gems before like ever. Garnet can you see if he was made recently?" They Garnet listened to the pearl and walked towards me and place her hand on my forehead. The sensation was weird and I was getting a weird feeling in my stomach. The Garnet then lifted her hand away from my gem.
" He wasn't made recently, he was made years ago, many years ago."
" Maybe he wasn't around other gems often" said Steven and he was correct. The pearl then walked towards me and placed her hand on my shoulder.
" I know you are here to get help from us and not get interviewed but I am curious of how you were around and I never seen you before" explained the pearl. I didn't mind telling the crystal gems about me they are just curious.
" Well I am a creation of white diamond and I was kept inside the palace and in white diamond's room and I was to never come out to interact with any other gem expect for her." The pearl was looked at me shocked. She then looked at the Garnet and it looked like they were communicating with their eyes. Then Steven saw that pearl was worried about something so he tried to change the subject.
" It doesn't matter if he isn't female he is still a gem seeking for help, so we need to help him, you know guide home to a better life." The other gems nodded in agreement.
" So new gem what is your name?" Asked Steven. He smiled at me while he wait for a response, he had such a nice smile. I then shook my head and replied to Steven.
" My name is Tanzanite" Steven's eyes widen. He then giggled and blushed a bit which caught me off guard of how cute he is.
" Wow that's a really nice name I have never heard it before" I was shocked that he never heard of my name before. " Well Tanzanite, Welcome to earth and I hope you build a wonderful life here."
