The Other Side

Hey guys this is chapter will be in Minho's POV and will be what is happening on their side.

Minho's POV

I watch as the buildings below us explode. Usually being the person I am would think this is cool, but since Thomas and Teresa are in there I feel worried. I don't know where we're headed, but all I know is that we are seeing this Marcus guy. Jorge says that he helped kids escape from WICKED and took kids to the Right Arm. So hopefully he can help us. What I'm really thinking about is if they are alive how are they getting to Marcus. I don't know about this Marcus guy but hopefully he's the "real deal".

" Minho?" Newt asks.

" Yeah."

" What are you thinking about?"

" Everything and nothing at the same time."

" Well tell me about the everything part."

" I'm mostly wondering how Thomas and Teresa will get to Marcus. If they even know where that's where they're supposed to go."

" Well they are smart after all and they have Brenda. Thomas is great at making plans. Brenda somewhat knows the area. If there's anything I've learned about Teresa is that she can take care of herself. There's nothing to worry about mate."

" Okay. I'm going to get some sleep."

" We're almost there. In fact I think I see the city now." Jorge says.

" Is that the last of civilization here?" Frypan asks.

" In the Scorch yes. Other parts of the world o have no clue." Jorge says.

We hover over buildings that are worn down some even ruins. People scatter the streets. In the distance we see a white building with a bunch of people waiting to go in it. Jorge drives the helicopter towards a building close to the white one and lands it. We all unbuckle and get out of the helicopter. I stretch my legs and arms while walking a little bit. I see Newt towards the edge of the building with a serious face on. I wonder what he is thinking about. I think like him for a second and all I can think about is the pressure. He was put second in charge by Alby but now that Alby is gone he is our leader. I think back to every fight that we had and he has been the one to calm it down. Let's face it, we wouldn't survive without him. Newt is the glue of our pack. He keeps us all together. So I can only imagine what he is thinking about when we have been separated from two people.

" Let's move, we'll take the stairs down." Frypan says.

" No I thought we were just going to jump off this building with imaginary parachutes." I say.

" Minho, stop it." Newt says.

" Newt you should know by now that sarcasm is my only defense."

" Let's go." Jorge says.

We go down the flight of stairs and arrive at the bottom pretty quick. We exit through a door and we see that we're are a few feet away from the building we're going to.

(Btw Thomas, Teresa, and Brenda are talking to the man and woman right now.)

We walk till we're close enough to see the people. I scan the crowd for Thomas and Teresa. I look towards the door and I see Brenda walk in.

" Hey guys I just saw Brenda wall in." I say.

" Okay let's go." Jorge says.

We walk towards the front and wait in a line. When it comes our turn the same man walks up to us and eyes us up and down.

" Go in." He says.

We enter through the tassels surrounding the door and into a room with flashing lights.

" Okay so we'll split into groups. Minho and Newt. Winston and Frypan. I'll be on my own." Jorge says.

" Sounds good." Newt replies.

Me and Newt go to the right where we see a group of men surrounding a ring. Inside that ring a man is fighting, well not like teasing, a crank. We walk past it and into the crowd. I see a form of a person on the floor, in the distance. I grab Newt's arm and head over. There are actually two people, and it is Thomas and Teresa. Newt picks up Teresa bridal style. And I lift Thomas up by both his arms. Newt leaves to find Jorge. Thomas sits in my arms and his eyes open.

" Minho?" He asks.

" Yeah it's me."

" How are you here?"

" Long story. Follow me."

I lead him to where Jorge and see him talking to the man who was at the entrance.

" Turns out this is Marcus. Go find the others." Jorge says.

We were going to find the others, but it seems like Newt already told everyone that we found them.

" Wait, where's Brenda?" Jorge asks.

" I'm right here." Brenda says from behind Frypan. Jorge looks at Marcus and based on his eyes it's a one that he understood. Marcus nods his head and heads upstairs to where we are brought into a room.
