If there's one thing I've learned about being a woman, it's to keep your head down and mind your own fucking business. That's what I've told myself for the past couple of years.
About four years ago, my dad left my mom and I. No money, no car, and a crappy ass home. We did our best but it didn't work, so two years later, I split. I couldn't live with her any longer. That's why I don't feel any resentment towards my dad- because I don't blame him. My mother is a total, out-of-control, psycho.
So, when I left, I had nowhere to go. Then it hit me. I had a friend, Katy, from high school who had just recently moved out to LA. I called her up, and here we are.
The second I got down here I searched for a job. Eventually, I got a kick ass job at a record store on the sunset strip. The only problem is, I have no car, meaning I have to walk everywhere. Luckily, Katy's apartment is only a few blocks down from the shop.
"See ya, Frank" I say as I walk out of the shop.
I make my way down the area to the apartment. As I do so, a car slows towards me. The window rolls down and bam. Tommy Lee is staring directly at me. He was saying something, but I have no idea what. I already haven't had any water today, and felt dizzy. Before I know it, I faint right there. Right on the sidewalk.
"Hey, hey. You okay? Do you need a drink? We don't have anything except vodka and some JD, but maybe it will help? Geez girl, some bump you've got there." Tommy says while holding my head up.
"What the hell just happened?" I ask reaching for the nearest surface to pull me up.
"You like, fainted? I don't really know man, we pulled up and you were just kinda out."
"Yeah, well, I haven't put anything in my body except for stale pizza in two days." I say pulling myself up, with the help of Tommy.
"I could help with that!" A voice from the car yells out.
I look behind Tommy, and there is Vince fucking Neil winking at me. What the hell is happening? First, I faint. Then, Tommy Lee is helping me, and Vince Neil is throwing sex jokes at me?
"Vinnie, shut the fuck up." Tommy yells back, trying to lead me to the car.
"Oh no, it's okay. I live right down the street. I don't need a ride"
"We're not taking you home, hunny. We're taking you to a fuckin' party." Tommy laughs, "What was your name by the way?" he asks as he helps me in the car.
"Lindsay" I say with a smile.
"Killer, I'm Tommy." He answers.
"Yeah, I know."

"Hey, guys! I want you to meet Lindsay, she's cool so don't fucking make her uncomfortable." Tommy says to the band.
I should clear this up, this isn't just any band. This is Motley fucking Crue. Sitting right in front of me at this random ass party.
I look around the round table at all of the members. Mick gives me a sort of awkward smile, Vince says a classic 'hey, baby', and Nikki does a little salute while taking a swig of JD.
I am clearly feeling uncomfortable, and it's very obvious, so, Tommy pats the seat next to him inviting me to sit.
"What bands do ya like, Lindsay?" Mick says while pouring himself a couple of vodka shots.
