Volume 1: Chapter 10

Johnny's P.O.V

As I got up, and it was late, plus Team RWBY was asleep, and I felt like something wasn't right, as I got up to the bathroom to wash my hands, I noticed my hands were turning red, I was right, something was not right. I closed the bathroom door and changed into my blue jeans, black shoes, all blue shirt, and brown leather jacket and walked outside.

I walked outside the dorm and heard an engine. As I walked there, I heard an ominous voice speaking my name.

???: "Johnny..."

I turned around to see nothing as I continued to walk outside to follow the noise....of my bike revving its engine on its own. I looked around to see if this was a trick, I then heard the laughter of a demon as I saw....Him. I pointed a finger at him slowly

Johnny: "You."

Mephisto: "Hello Johnny."

Johnny: "If you got any funny ideas, I suggest you stay away from me."

Mephisto chuckled at that, thinking what I said was funny.

Mephisto: "Little late for that."

He looked at my bike and then looked back at me with a grin that I did not like.

Mephisto: "Nice bike."

He then walked to me, I wanted answers to why he was here, and he better have some good reasons for being here in Remnant.

Johnny: "Why are you here anyway?"

Mephisto: "That's the thing, Johnny. I've always been here, I even saw my little demons come out, and you did quite a number on them, too."

My suspicions were right. It was him. But not to kill me, but as a test, to test my strength and skills as a Teenage Rider.

Johnny: "It was you keeping me alive,
wasn't it?"

Mephisto shook his head and chuckled again.

Johnny: "Yes and No, the demons had intentions on killing you, but the rest it was all you, it always has been, and I'm your biggest fan."

Mephisto: "The training, fights, tournaments around the globe, crowds laughing, chanting."

Mephisto: "Johnny... Johnny!"

Mephisto then said it again, but instead, his face became more demonic. However, I wasn't scared. Because like my father taught me, 'You can't live in fear.'

Mephisto: "Johnny..."

Mephisto: "It makes me happy. It's like watching an investment that keeps growing until the day you cash it in. That day is today, Johnny. Find the one known as...Blackheart, he's my son, and he's been misbehaving in the mortal world. I want you to find him alive and destroy him."

I knew this had to be a trap, so I declined.

Johnny: "Find him yourself."

I mounted the bike, but something was off...very off, I couldn't move out of the bike.

Mephisto: "It doesn't work like that. You're under my control, remember? If you succeed, I will free you, and you'll get to do whatever you like."

I shook my head no, because I couldn't let him get to me.
