tw: homophobia, physical assault, bullying, f slur, gayness
"'Morning, fag," Freddie's and his friends say as they walk by.
They do that every morning and at this point I don't even flinch. They've got it down to a point wear they say I in unison, honestly kind of impressive. It was a month ago I was outed and every day since it's been nothing but hell. I'm really surprised no teachers have heard it, not like they are subtle about it.
I shut my locker and carry my things to my class. First class is with Freddie but he doesn't say much to me because his friends aren't there I guess.
I sit in my seat in the very back of class and almost immediately the teacher starts the lesson. Gabbering about a group assignment that is a big part of the English grade. I could care less because no matter who I get put with I'll end up doing all the work because I'm the "gay nerd". Since when was that my title I'll never know.
"... And Freddie and Oliver," my teacher says a bit louder so that I can hear her.
The last person I need to talk to today is Freddie but I guess I have no choice.
"Hey- Oliver I'm sorry about my friends earlier I really-"
I cut Freddie off as soon as I can.
"Don't apologize I really could care less, anyways I'll have the project done in two days."
"Don't you think we should work on It together?" he asks
"Oh, I just assumed that you would want me to do it all."
"I'm not like my friends." He exclaims as if it immediately makes him a good person.
"Fine when can we work on it?"
"Tonight at my house, meet me at the mold white Camaro in the parking lot right after final bell."
And as quick as he says that, he's gone and the dismissal bell for 1st period rings.329 words
