It all started it a forest.
This was no ordinary forest. Most regular forests have birds chirping, leaves rustling in a breeze, and had lovely green leaves. Not this forest, however.
This forest was pitch black, even in mid day. You could hear the wind howling, but the trees barely quivered. Not a single living thing was in sight.
Until a girl appeared.
Now this girl contrasted with the forest. Her bright red hair, green shirt, camo jeans, red converse, and brilliant blue eyes made her stand out. This girl's name is Lily.
Lily could not believe it. The magic had worked. After all this studying, researching, and mind breaking work had played off.
She had transported herself into her favorite book.
Lily grinned, and grabbed her black leather backpack off of her shoulders. She searched through it, and came out with a beautiful leather journal.
This was Lily's spell book.
She rustled through the pages, looking for the return spell. She wanted to check it to make sure she had a way back if something went wrong. She found the page it was on, only to realize she left it at home.
She was trapped.
Lily started to panic. How would she get back? She only wanted to see one of her favorite scenes of all time. She knew what would happen next. She heard a noise, and panicking even more, she started to climb the nearest oak tree.
She wasn't fast enough.
A lone centuar came through the brush, staring her down.
This centaur was beautiful. He was a black draft horse, his human half was shirtless, and had a long black beard. He looked to be in his thirties, but Lily knew his was much older than that.
"Human!" He roared, pulling out a huge English longbow from his back. He notched an arrow and pointed it at poor Lily.
Now Lily realized why her sister told her not to engage this spell.
Her sister and her friend did this spell, many years ago, only to find out the only way out was death. They had forgotten to bring the return spell too, and her sister's friend died before the elder spellcasters could take them out. The spells were destroyed and tried to be forgotten.
Lily was the one who created them again.
"Please..." Lily begged. "I mean you no harm." She knew it was no use, she knew this centaur would kill her.
"You are human." The centaur bellowed. "You always do harm." He aimed the arrow, and Lily closed her eyes.
Curiousity killed Lily.
Thwak!
