Jaime: Alright everyone, ready up. We'll be going out soon.
Todoroki thought this was the perfect time to suddenly call out Midoriya.
Todoroki: Midoriya.
Midoriya: Todoroki? What is it?
Todoroki: Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you.
Everyone then looked over at the two of them.
Midoriya: Huh? Y-Yeah...
Todoroki: But... All Might has his eyes on you, doesn't he? I'm not trying to pry about that. But I'm going to beat you. This is also directed at you, Reyes.
Jaime: Huh?
Todoroki: You were the only student out of us with the power to even beat the Nomu, something made to kill All Might. It was a nice show of strength, but I'll beat you and prove I'm stronger.
Kaminari: Oh? Is the best in the class making a declaration of war?
Kirishima walked over trying to break things up.

Todoroki: We're not here to play at being friends. So what does it matter?
Todoroki then went to walk away, but Midoriya spoke up.
Midoriya: Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat Jaime and me, but of course, you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people... Looking at it objectively...
Kirishima: Midoriya, you probably shouldn't talk so negatively...
Midoriya: But everyone-- The students from the other courses aim for the top with everything they've got! I can't afford to fall behind. I'll be going for it with everything I have, too.
