Chapter 4 - Jealousy

"I do." I said and I could literally feel myself blushing scarlet. All eyes were on me. It was already expected. But what I didn't expect was Tae's face being taken over by sadness for a few seconds. He immediately changed his facial expression before anyone could notice. Well except for me. They all started teasing me and laughing. I kinda felt bad for Tae but I was also relieved because he didn't know the question I actually answered and also because my friends played along. After a little while they were still going on and on about me and 'the guy I like'. "Guys just stop. It's getting a little annoying now." I spoke up. "Yeah guys, let her breath!" Jungkook said. But little did they stop "Ooooohhhhhh. Look who's getting all protective of our dear y/n." "JK! Don't tell me you like her!" they all started making fun of us even more. It just got a little too out of hand so I just got up and went straight outside the class, ignoring all the 'sorry' and them calling my name. I felt somebody grab my hand when I almost reached the stairs.

Tae POV:

I saw her getting a little annoyed by all of them assuming all kinds of stuff. After a few minutes she decided she'd had enough and got up and walked out of the class. Jungkook tried to get up and follow her. "I'll check on her." I said to him and patted him on the shoulder. He just nodded and I walked out. I saw her a little away so, I ran to catch up with her. I held her hand to stop her when she almost reached the stairs. "Let go kook. I just need some time." she said. I slowly let go of her hand after hearing her. She turned so quickly that she bumped onto my chest. She looked up at my face and realization rushed all over her face with guilt and she blushed! WHAT!? SHE BLUSHED! Why though? I didn't know. All I knew was she blushed as soon as she saw it was me. "Well, I'm not kook. But I know I'm Tae and I'm here if you need me. Don't take what they said to your heart. They are just messing with you, my girl. Come here." I said emphasizing on the 'Tae' with a sly grin and spread my arms wide. She looked at me for a few seconds. She was shocked hearing me say all that, but she walked into my arms and whispered "Thank you" just loud enough for me to hear. I just smiled and hummed in response. Once she was ok, I asked her if we can head back to class. She smiled at me and nodded, and we walked back to class.

Y/N POV:

As soon as we entered the class Kook came running and hugged me. I just laughed at how sweet he is and how much he cares for me. "Are you ok doggo?" "I'm fine bunny" I giggled (Yes, we called each other doggo and bunny. LOL) We pulled away and I ruffled his hair and when I turned around Tae was gone. I saw him sitting at his usual place and staring at us, eyes filled with jealousy and his fists curled. I didn't understand why though. I just brushed it off and went back to my seat. Soon, the rest of the classes resumed, and my day was soon over. As usual I walked back home with my friends and stopped on the way to eat something as all of us were really hungry.

We stopped at our favorite cafe and got whatever we wanted and ate and talked for a while. I sat in between Tae and kook. Kook had his arm around me. I was kinda used to it because he's been my best friend for like three whole years now. I saw Jimin was staring at me. "Yah Jiminie~! Watcha looking at? Is there something on my face?" I asked whining a little as I became worried. He just started laughing and shook his head and said "Actually, there is something on your face." "What? What is it?" I asked touching my face. He made flower cup hands and said "Beauty!" with a cute smile. "Ah~ You idiot" I said and threw a tissue at his face. He just dodged it and started laughing. Everyone started laughing at our tiny bickering. Well, everyone except for Tae. I was also laughing, and I gradually looked to my right only to find Tae already staring at me. I couldn't break the eye contact now. 'SHIT!' I thought to myself.

Jimin POV:

When I said that she threw a tissue at my face. I dodged and saw her and everyone laughing. I just couldn't hold back my chuckles looking at her. Then she suddenly looked at Taehyung and stopped laughing and kept staring at him. I was so pissed at that moment and stopped laughing at once.

Author POV:

Soon, all the laughter dissipated, and everyone returned home. Y/n didn't know that Tae wasn't the only one watching her and JK with jealousy back in their classroom and at the cafe. There were another pair of eyes watching them and they both felt like they should have been there for her.

Time skip~

A few more months passed, and their mid-terms soon arrived. All of them were really busy and studying hard to ace the exams. Every day was just the same old for the past months. They went to school, studied, played, had fun, ate, slept and repeat. (LoL)
Soon, their mid-terms finished, and their break started.

Time skip - after the break~

They all returned to school with completed assignments and filled with happiness to meet their friends again.

Y/N POV:
I came back to school after the break, and I couldn't find any of my friends yet. As I was reaching my class, I heard someone call me. I turned around and spotted Yuri. I waved my hand like a little kid spotting their mom in a crowd of parents giggling.
She quickly ran up to me and soon I was in a warm embrace. "Wah~ I missed you girl" she said giggling. "Aww~ I missed you too" I said, and we walked to class together.
The moment I entered the class my feet left the ground."ahhh" I yelled because I was caught off guard.

Tae POV:
I was early to school today and was in my class. Then I saw y/n walking in, so I ran to her and lifted her off the ground. I started laughing hysterically when she yelled like that.
"Yah! What the hell are you doing? Put me down!" She ordered. "Ok! ok chill" I said and put her down.
"That's some way of greeting someone after a long time. Well, hi to you too." She said in between giggles.
How long it's been hearing her laugh. "Hi Ms. y/n" I said and bowed. She just laughed shaking her head and ruffled my hair and walked in.
Then she saw Jungkook and went to greet him. I kinda feel jealous when I see her with someone else and I don't even know why! "Hi bunny!" She said and squished his cheeks. He gave a cheeky grin and hugged her and said, "Hi doggo!". What weird nick names they both have I thought and rolled my eyes so much that I was sure I could see the insides of my head. No one knows what runs in those twos' head.

Jimin POV:
I was waiting for y/n to come to our class. As soon as she walked in Taehyung carried her and they were laughing and talking. Then she walked straight to JK and was talking to him. Then I walked to her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around with a curious expression but as soon as she realized it was me a smile took over her face. "Chim-Chim! Hi!" she said and pinched my cheek. "Hi y/n" I said with a huge grin on my face and went in for a hug. She also hugged me back. I guess there was no reason for me to be jealous all the time. She loves and treats all of us the same. But somewhere deep down I wish it would be a little more than that with me.

Author POV:

Soon their classes began, and they resumed their routine as usual. A few weeks had passed just like that in a blink of an eye after their break.

The lunch hour arrived, they were walking to their cafeteria, they saw some notices put up on their school notice board. The friend group all gathered near the notice board to check what was put up. All their faces were covered with different kinds of expression. One had happiness, the other had excitement, anxiety, was written on all of their faces. All of their emotions were mixed and all over the place. Because there was not only one information but a few. All together. This wasn't expected by any student in their entire school.
