Chapter 2A: Rents due

Oh my goodness how could have we forgotten? Jacks lips slowly parted as he saw the price on the rent

Angela stared a weird look at him behind his forehead until Jack followed her attention to the bill on his receipt.

300$?? Angela took a shocked look when looking at the bill, Why is it so expensive??

Jack looked at her with a look on his face, obviously, the rent said 300$ when we rented this apartment

I said the cheap apartments! Said Angela. Why did you have to choose this apartment?

Jack briefly said, This is kinda of a cheap apartment. Any apartments fundier that price look like cats rented it before us. And it was badly taken care of or outright trashed or a dump area.

Well we could just have cleaned the apartment? Angela exclaimed

Jack showed her the picture on his phone. Angela softly said, Oh, oh oh oh okay I understand..

Jack said, besides 300 dollars is just 11 days of work- Oh.. now I realize.. Jack realized he only had 2 months to pay the rent, and the electricity bill which is 350 dollars and the water bill was 400 dollars. All and all, the total amount was 1010 dollars. It would take him 52 days to get that much money! Plus his necessities would have been another 11 days of work? Jack had to figure out plans. And fast. Jack decided to extend his work time for 5:00pm - 9:00pm to 5:00pm to 12:00pm?? Which would give him plus 10$. Giving him 38 days of work to pay all his rent.

Angela slapped Jack hard until it put a mark on his face. His eyes stayed wide open

Are you crazy? You'll hardly get any sleep?? Plus we still have college?

Jack shouted back at her, WE'LL AT LEAST BE ABLE TO LIVE IN THIS APARTMENT. Jack sighed and looked at her and blinked silently. Look, We still have to do college funds but our parents take care of that. We have to take care of our rent in return. And you know, sometimes rent is expensive? You are lucky you don't have to work.

Angela stormed out and went inside her room locking the door

Jack went upstairs, demanding Angela to open the door. Angela as stubborn as she is, finally brang herself to open the door. She said What?

Jack said, Look, be happy you don't need to work.

Angela slammed the door on his face.

Little did he know Angela was planing something too.
