CHAPTER 9

We rushed to the east wing, and since the moment we crossed the front door of the building I could listen to their yelling.

-Are you fucking mental?!- shouted Elio- What the fuck is wrong with all of you?!-

Some guy answered but I couldn't understand what he said.

-That doesn't justify shit! - retorted the blonde boy furiously.

Another voice spoke, as we got closer I realized it was Zian.

-And I would do it all over again- the Italian said at the same time we stormed inside the room. I saw Killian standing on Nox's right, and Kaden standing warily on his left, both were like wolfs ready to jump in front of him if things got ugly. The amber-eyed boy stood in between them and Elio.

- I enjoyed every goddamned second of it, I would have gladly left her there! - scoffed Zian taunting him, and immediately the Greek boy pounced on him and hit him directly in the face; both fell to the floor, the Italian boy tried to push him away, but the blonde was stronger and landed another punch. It all happened so fast it took his friends a couple of seconds to react.

Killian grabbed Elio and almost carried him away -Come on! Stop being a fucking baby! -he scolded the Greek boy as he squirmed against his grasp.

-Let go! -protested the blonde.

-This just proves that you are the one who has lost his fucking mind! - shouted Zian as Nox helped him up -Since when do you turn against your friends huh?! You've become a traitor! -

-What the fuck is going on with you two?! - cried out Amelie, and it was not until that moment that they all realized we were standing there.

-What are you doing here? You can't be here- said Elio to me as soon as his eyes landed on mine.

-I...-I faltered, because of all the people inside that room I wouldn't have expected to hear those words coming out of his mouth.

-She's a part of Valhalla now, so she can be in here whenever she feels like it- replied Nox calmly.

-No, no, no, no! Stay away from her! - roared Elio -Come on Sophia! -he said approaching me. He grabbed me by the arm and dragged me out.

-You will pay for this Stravos! -threatened Zian as we left.

He walked me harshly outside.

-Elio let go, you are hurting me- I protested softly.

He seemed confused for a second, as if he had forgotten he was seizing my arm. He softened and released me rapidly.

-I'm sorry- he whispered ashamed- I'm so sorry Sophia, I truly regret not watching out for you during the party, I had no clue what they were about to do, I'm so sorry-

Was that what they were fighting about?

-You didn't know, it's okay, it's not your fault- I responded -Imani, Nox and Zian already apologized to me too, so it's fine I guess-

-No it's not, it's definitely not fine, is fucked up- he retorted desperate- Do not become a member of Valhalla, stay away from all of us, believe me, it is better that way-

-I thought you said...-

-I know what I said, but I didn't think they would do something so horrible to you- answered the Greek boy sadly.

-Amelie said you all have fun, I am already getting closer to Imani, I don't understand what the problem is...- I refuted, offended that he did not want me near anymore.

-Our type of fun is not made for everybody Soph- he responded gravely.

Am I making a mistake? Is it really so bad?
