"I would kiss you as many times as the stars."

I was driven to school again, by my sister, who did not fail to mention the fact I slept with a guy last night.

"So you still a virgin? And of all people!!" She laughed.

I rolled my eyes gazing out the window.

"Noah Rodgers... tsk tsk tsk." She smiled shaking her head.
My heart fluttered at his name.

I did not like feeling so vulnerable, I did not like what his name did to me.

But at some point I would have to face it...

"Get some Leah!!!" She said nudging my shoulder.

"Don't touch me." I rolled my eyes.

"Are you sore? Is that why?" She looked at me as we sat parked.

"No. Thank you, but I should be leaving now." I opened the door and walked into the street.

The bus arrived shortly after.

I took my usual seat and as I sat down I was joined by another pair of dark pants and converse.

I swallowed. "Noah, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Sitting with my girl." He winked extending an arm around my shoulder.

I took his hand and put his arm back at his side. "I am not your girl."

"Like I have said, many many times, you could be. Just take a chance. I don't care if you don't like me that way, just take a chance. Have a little fun, we do not have to be serious." He said gazing into my eyes.

I quickly averted my sight forward.

"Noah, last night was nothing." I said not looking him in the eye.

"Lynn, you know it meant something, you cannot look me in the eye and say it didn't." He said trying to get me to look his way.

"I want you Lynn, all of you. I want your voice close to my ear, your breath on my skin, your lips on mine. I want you Lynn and I won't stop until I get you. I will wait, as long as it takes. I will stay by your side. God Lynn I want you so bad."

I sat back and turned my neck to the window.

"Noah, can we talk about this later, maybe in a more private area." I sighed.

"Anything." He said switching his seat once again.

I closed my eyes and let myself breathe again.

At one point or another I needed to face these feelings, but something was holding me back.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

In homeroom Matt sat patiently behind my desk.

I dropped my bag next to my chair and before sitting said, "You know you don't have to sit there right...?"

"Yeah but I like you, so I figured we could talk. Did you listen to my playlist yet?" He said.

"I... what? No. I mean I listened to, Lost boy... no Lonely Boy thats it." I said.

"...Thats my playlist." He laughed.

"Oh... I just assumed it was one you listened too."

"Yeah, well, what did you think?" He said, his grey eyes piercing through me.

"I really liked it, especially Cage the Elephant. Come a Little Closer was great... I mean the base in the beginning was just, wow!" I let myself fall into my thoughts.

"And how about Snap Out Of It? By the Arctic Monkeys?" He said smirking.

"Oh my god the lyrics. I'm a little off on the falsetto background but I mean the song is sick." I said clearly dazed. "Oh my god I'm sorry you probably don't care about how I feel about music wow." I said quickly blushing.

"Why would I ask if I didn't care? Its cute, you and I are not very different, the way we think of music. Like its-"

"Audio art." I said.

His gaze switched to my eyes and once again I was hit with his cloudy eyes.

"Yes." He smiled.

The bell rang and our eye contact dropped.

Who was I? I never let anyone into my thoughts, ever. But Matt had this thing about him that I could tell him everything I wanted too. He wouldn't just care... He would understand.

"Let me get your number, please." He said grabbing my arm.

"Well if you insist." I said, quickly jotting down my digits.

"I'll text you." He winked backing away in the hall.

"They never do!" I smiled jokingly.

"Yeah well I'm different." He said pointing to himself.

I rolled my eyes and smiled down at my nails. A nervous tick I had done since I was little.

Why the heck was I flirting. Who the heck was I.

What did these guys do that made me soften behind my thick shell I had spent years building.

"LEAHS GOT A MAN!" Liss yelled at lunch.

"No, hush I don't!!! It was one night."

"Noah Rodgers kissed you in places the rain hasn't fallen... I'd say that means something." Bree said.

"I never said it didn't mean anything." I looked away blushing.

"LYNN NO!!" Liss and Bree squeeled.

"I don't know... I mean ugh, I don't do this whole dating thing."

"Thats not what Wes Baringer said in sixth grade." Liss winked.

"Key words, 'sixth grade' meaning, the only thing we had was the title, we never did anything." I said.

"Anything meaning... what you and Noah did last night?" Bree said smirking.

"Shut up." I said sipping on the cold soda our lunch room thankfully served.

That night I lay in my bed texting Matt.

Matt: I must say your playlist is a masterpiece, evenly planned out, hitting every emotion just enough to drive you mad.

Me: I try

Matt: I heard you got cuddly last night.

Me: WTF from who? i mean its not a lie, but its a lot different than what you heard.

Matt: from the lucky guy himself. well i mean, it sounded more like "stay away from her." but i then heard him explaining to his friends he was with you last night.

Me: was he spreading... you know... rumors?

Matt: no he kept that low, i wouldve set him straight if he did.

Me: for being a girl you just met you sure seem to care about me a lot.

Matt: i do

Me: thats all i get? "i do" lol

Matt: im not entirely sure what you want from me, and im not asking to know. i just want you to know that i care about you because of the musical bond we have. and i plan on making that grow.

Me: what are you saying...

Matt: LeahLynn, noah might have kissed you a lot that night, but i would kiss you as many times as the stars. and i would mean every last one of them.

Me: Matt.. i dont know what to say

Matt: ill see you tomorrow, good night.

Me: night

i dropped my phone and sighed.
