1. Meet Them At The Bad Time

Life. Whenever I think of life, it reminds me of my childhood and when it reminds me of my childhood, I always think of my bestfriends. I always think that life always gives you a simple chase that gives you a drastic change and I'm too lucky to experience that. Unlucky me!!! But my unluckiness is nothing in front of Suman's, My bestfriend.

Meet Suman. Suman Singhal. She always snoozed her alarm, got late but still tops the college; wins the hearts of all but always ends up to become too childish. She always had a tender heart just like her mother. At the age of seven, her mother passed away but her step mother, Ayesha, cares like her biological mother. She also had a step brother named as Aryan who is just two years younger than her. When Ayesha married to her Father, Manish Singhal, she already had her son, that was Aryan, who was just five years old. She always lands in commotion but her step mother and her step brother always takes her side whenever she had a argue with her father. Actually, she thinks that after her mother's death, he changed and therefore she would always looks for his bad side. Also she had a drastic past about two years ago which she would never forget. She turned 20 and now everyone is waiting for her 21. And, here is Sumaira aka Suman. Actually, she identifies as Sumaira in her college, not Suman. When there is always a good news, there's a bad news too. And Samir aka Sam is not a good news.

Here Sam goes. He is star of the college. Actually, heartthrob of the college. Everyone loves him accept Suman and vice-versa. Whenever he meets to Sumaira or Suman, his mood is just like volcano erupting too high. He always hates Suman as well as she would too. Therefore, she never partnered with him in all the competitions and fest as it was always landed in their challenges. He also had a fight with his father for not understanding him just like Suman does. Actually, the life-story of Samir and Suman is same but the thing is that Suman had her step mother and brother while Samir had his biological family.

Thursday morning. The clock was ticking out. And guess what? Suman was still late. She woke up late this time too. She had her stuffs and ran towards the door.

"Sumi, eat this." Ayesha ran towards her.

"No, mom. I'm late today. I'll have my breakfast later." She was quick.

"No, honey. You will not leave until you have your breakfast. At least, finish your bread, beta." Ayesha said in a caring way.

"Mom, please. Not now, not now...." Suman didn't complete her sentence till her mother quickly put the jam bread onto her mouth.

"Okay, bye." She said weirdly, took her scooter and drove fast to St. Williams.

She reached when the gatekeeper was closing the gate. She entered the ground where everyone was gathered. Some were having their get togethers, gossip machines, bullying others, sitting and having utter discussions and the 'Shy one'(ps :I mean the nerds) sorry guys

And this is me, Nikhil Mehrotra, and my buddy, Reyhaan Shah. I, Reyhaan and Suman were bestfriends since 15 years. Can you believe this?! But this is true. It had been amazing years that I had spent with them. In the good times or bad times, we never had let our hands to leave.

"You are lucky today, Suman. If you would late today, then definitely professor Roy would scold you." I said to Suman.

"I would never going to let that moment again, Nikhil. #NeverHaveBeenScolded." she said with a smile and further asked "Why there's so much crowd today? I mean principal sir is giving us holiday for a week or two? or he is here with some good news?"

"Even I don't know?" Reyhaan said tiredly.

"I've heard that they will certainly tell us about the competition." I answered.

"Oh!" Sumi exclaimed.

"Where you've heard from?" Reyhaan asked me while he was eating an apple.

"Actually, a day before yesterday. Principal sir was discussing to librarian Mishra something about a competition." I replied.
